St George’s is a fantastic school with a great community spirit. Teachers are highly engaged and involved in the whole-of-school activities, which adds to the sense community. They go above and beyond in supporting students with their studies and aspirations, creating an environment where they are free to explore and are regularly challenged. Homework is consistent and varied, using a combination of traditional homework, like I remember doing, and a more modern approach on challenging my child’s learning beyond the classroom, eg interviewing your parents on the biggest changes they have seen in their lifetime. My daughter is in yr 7 and has been at the school 9 months, she regularly reports back to us that she is learning and being challenged to extend herself, part through self motivation, part through peer competition but mainly through the supportive and collaborative teaching environment which she is loving being part of. If your’e after old school schooling, in a controlled, confined and stuck in the past environment, then probably not the school for you to send your child to. If you are after a modern, supportive, community focused and progressive school that caters to a range of talents and interests then St Georges could be a good fit.

The true worth of this school lies in its community. It encourages excellent academic rigour and provides a surprisingly large array of choices considering its modest (current) size in addition to having demonstrated a flexible and adaptable nature with the auspicious arrangements made with a series of sporting facilities, but these positive bounties are incomparable to the level of enthusiasm and kindness that is exhibited by the school population. The teachers assist in developing more than just a students intellectual agency, they nurture your child's confidence, generosity and indeed as the motto suggests - their wisdom.

TOTALLY WORTH THE FEES AND COST OF SLEEP. BEST SCHOOL EVER! 10/10 WOULD ABSOLUTELY PAY AND RATE AGAIN.

Theres also wonderful students and teachers there that you can get to know well and set you out on a journey of a lifetime. Also local to Perth Train Station.

A school is most important because of the people; St George's Anglican Grammar School have the most competent and wonderful teachers and students that I have ever encountered. As a student, heads of department are committed to enhancing the experience of each individual student, and these favours are generally accepted in kind by the students. Each and every person is deserving of the level of respect they are treated with; students and teachers alike. The heads of house in Mathematics and English participate in the construction of the Australian curriculum.
In addition to this, the location of the school brings into actualisation of the capacity of the members of the school by providing them with the necessary resources. The new Perth Library, the state theatre, (not to mention after-school study breaks; shopping, attending city events).
St George's community and events take high priority in school life; each house, Lincoln (yellow), Gandhi (red), and Mandela (green) takes part in a fundraising event for a chosen charity on a rotation. Gandhi conducted a colour run, and the upcoming event from Lincoln is a lip sync battle. The school also takes part in sporting events around the year with both fun and competitive aspects taking equal roles. Fun aquatics day involves a synchronised dance in the pool that each house competes in to win house points.

SGAGS has an undeniably accepting and motivating atmosphere, and I highly suggest enrolment to be involved in the evolution of the school as it grows into maturity.

This school is the absolute best school I've been at. And I've been to three. The teachers really listen to you, and the assignments, though difficult, are completely worth it and I'm so glad I'm here.
