If you have the misfortune of dealing with Alderley Child Safety Service Centre, you will need to be a strong advocate for your children and yourself. Based on my experience, officers from this location ignored the rights of my children and my family. In my view, Alderley CSSC were guilty of government abuse – they removed our teenagers against our and their will, without an order, without consent or agreement, without anything in writing and recorded it as “voluntary”. They used coercive methods to get compliance with their instructions, avoided clearly explaining their processes and used my children as tools of manipulation. In my case, they either misrepresented conversations or blatantly lied in the files to make it appear like they used correct processes when the reality was very different.

I spent a long time dealing with the department’s complaint processes and the higher levels of the department only reviewed departmental notes, so any wrongdoing on behalf of CSOs was covered up, regardless of any evidence to the contrary, including information from our solicitor. Forget about anything I had to say – they didn’t even acknowledge it in their responses.

If you are dealing with them, it is essential to have a reliable support person (preferably a lawyer – speak to Legal Aid) with you in any call or visit as they completely control the narrative about you and they are more interested in protecting themselves than being fair or transparent. This recommendation is not so much as a support person for yourself (although that is useful – it is stressful even if CSOs are doing everything by the book) but you need to have a witness if they misrepresent what you say in their notes. Try and get anything about you and your children in writing, although in my experience our repeated requests for this were ignored. Put your requests in writing so you have evidence if they refuse to supply information you are entitled to.

Before having contact with this department, I believed that in Queensland we could expect to be treated with a level of respect and equality by public servants, particularly those in social services. I believed that if you co-operated and were reasonable you would be treated fairly. Since then, the impact of their abusive actions has left me devastated and fearful at how little rights we have in reality and at the level of bias in the complaints system. Whilst there was no ongoing contact with them for my children or myself, I now have to teach my children to be suspicious of any Queensland government public service, including CSSC staff and police, as their policies are just words on a page and do not reflect how they work in reality and they are completely protected by the public service system.

Totally disgraceful behaviour on behalf of every single person that we dealt with here. The outcomes of which have been devastating for our family. Quite the opposite of what i know is community expectations.
This is a cowboy operation at best , certainly not operating under any best practice model. Institutionalised complicity , dubious operational legality, and guys……THE BOOK IS COMING !!!!

I have just met for the third time’ with the best investigative media team with the most highly regarded media program in Australia. Justice must be done and also be SEEN to be done. There was ample time and also opportunity for all to take a big breath and a big step back and to right the wrongs. But MULTITUDES of you went down a rabbit hole and your professional egos were so out of control you simply couldn’t come back.

I AM HERE TO SEE THAT EVERY SINGLE PERSON INVOLVED ACTIVELY IN THIS CASE LOSES THEIR JOB , their credibility, their superannuation and their futures.

That the multiple depts involved can never collude like this again and that no other mother must endure the nightmare that I live every single day .

I have heard it spoken that it may in fact trigger a royal commission- as it should.

And dont worry we wont leave any of you out.

Child safety hasn't even attempted to engage with me and they are already making assumptions as I was just informed by the organisation that you assigned to me without my consent, and not to mention that the organisation that you assigned to me has already shown me that they don't care that I could've died from heart attacks in the recent past weeks. So why don't you try engaging with me first.

Complete nightmare. If you are in any form of trouble don’t ever contact them. They destroyed my entire family. And no one can convince me that they were not trying to push me into committing suicide. Don’t make another mistake. Don’t contact them
