An amazing evening with the most divine food and great wine pairings. Thank you so much to Bun Tan for the fantastic culinary experience and to Naomi for looking after our table and making sure we always had something to drink. Will definitely return

You get what you pay for. We enjoyed our experience at shiki. We ordered the hokone set with wine pairing - approx $700. If you know your wines, you can understand what sort of place this is.

Visited this gem on my birthday! Best dining experience of my life! Loved everything presented to us. We opted for Keyaki menu with wine pairing. It was magnificent! You can inherently classify the place as outstanding if it offers high quality and fresh ingredients. When every dish is made in front of your eyes, you can judge the hot food served by an amazing chef instantly, and this place lived upto its expectations. Am glad I went here, this place deserves the hype it has for the radiant Teppanyaki experience.

Fresh & delicious Japanese food by talented & friendly chefs & staff. Definitely a nice restaurant to visit, especially if you have guests you’d like to impress with Teppanyaki.

Visited on Friday 26th May for Dinner

Drinks: Seishu Junmai Daiginjo (super dry and clean) and Hakushika Junmai Ginjo (extra dry)

Food: Hakone Set Menu

Service was excellent
The waitress Laura was very attentive with catering, removing eaten plates/bowls and constantly replenishing our waters and brings us the menu when prompted, very proactive

It was a really good experience to see Teppanyaki in action, our first time, by the chef who made an impressive performance to all diners on our semi circle

Our steak was cooked medium rare, usually the ideal state, but there were some diners who preferred well done

The meat was tender and delicious and cooked to perfection

We were pretty much full by the end of course meal

The end dishes consisted of a hot drink and dessert (sorbet with fruits)

Whether you're ordering set menus or items from a la carte menu, you are still treated the same way, as someone who had racked a bill of a few hundred dollars

It is an experience not to be missed and you should see for yourself at least once

Beautiful food, brilliant chef, and friendly accommodating staff. Well worth the money, and we will be back! The lobster was suculant and fresh, the wagyu beef was perfect, and the desert was to die for, add the theatre and fire, and you have a fantastic night out

Always such a great experience for food, service and ambience. Professional wait staff and teppanyaki a must. Set menus so delicious, as with the oysters and much more. Good selection of wines and drinks, fast service and attentive staff. Would highly recommend for a special night out for couple or small group. Food tasted amazing.

An excellent teppanyaki experience at Shiki! The chef was entertaining and a good conversationalist. The food was fantastic - freshest and the best ingredients cooked perfectly. Simple, yet so much flavour. The fire theatrics were amazing and really enhanced the experience. I’ve been here several times and it’s always a great time here. I would highly recommend Shiki. If you prefer private seating then tables are available otherwise best experience is in front of the chef and grill sitting with other guests.

Very delicious food but can be very pricy. A good selection of premium Japanese sake list. The presentation of the food is second to none. Be warned that you will smell like smoke after the meal, coz some of the food were cook right in front of you. Chef preform they skill and some may throw flame to show off and impress those on the table.

Great service, lovely atmosphere made a great evening. I suggest not following the preset menu, but making up your own. This will save you a bit in the long run.

The staff are very helpful to all your needs and will choose a great wine to compliment your meal. If you like butter and the aroma of gorgeously delicate foods this is a must have experience!!

It's located inside the intercontinental hotel, 1st floor. And I suggest you come with a camera.

WOW! What a cool & unique experience to sit around a table in a semi circle with all of us facing the chef as he cooked right in front of us for those whom had ordered from the Teppanyaki menu. Some of our group had their meals cooked in the kitchen but I’m glad I knew that to have the chef cooking in front of us I had to order from the Teppanyaki menu. At first it was a little confusing trying to understand the menu but then we got the hang of it that you need to order your vegetables separate. For instance if you order the Barramundi- that’s all you will get on your plate so we ordered broccolini to go with it.
The staff were all very lovely and well poised. We were all mesmerised by the chef! Nice, tranquil atmosphere. Great location if going out somewhere else in the city after dinner.

This is one of the best wagyu steak I have ever eaten. Make sure to get a reservation so you will get a tepenyaki table where the chef will make the food infront of you. There are lots of choices to choose! I love their staff aswell their really friendly.

A special event restaurant which feels special from the moment you arrive. A gorgeous Japanese green style entry and a hostess waiting to seat you.

All teppenyaki table dining only and sitting times are strict as they get so heavily booked.

We have dined here so many times and always do a set menu to get a taste of the whole menu, however I find it a bit too much food.

If you do a La carte don’t miss the sashimi which is the best in Adelaide. Vegetables and beef on the teppanyaki are expertly grilled and provide the big flares of fire everyone loves, word of warning you and your clothes will need a bath after.

Tempura is okay but the batter is always a bit too heavy.

I never miss the incredible fried rice which is served with a delicious home made miso soup.

Unfortunately service is not what it used to be here, you do need to actively grab someone’s attention for a drink. The wine list is conservative and over priced.

We went to this place for the famous Wagyu beef grill show. Worth the price, amazing 🤩 show with tender taste of the wagyu.

It is always my best Japanese restaurant in Adelaide. I have been here for the third time and the standard of food is very high. Good job. The location and the chef cooking in front of you are beautiful.

For our first time experiencing teppanyaki cooking, this was the perfect anniversary dinner. The food was bordering on divine. The service was outstanding. As the couple next to us remarked, "it is theater, it is art, in the form of dinner". Highly recommended, and we'll be back
