Peppidune Beach House

Wow! Absolutely loved it. Fantastic for families. Nicki has really thought of everything you could need for your stay. Incredible location and view, would definitely go back.

Lovely location. Be prepared for add on costs for linen, pets and Wifi. Great house though - a 2 min stroll to the beach..

Excellent location

When we booked this place we had very high expectations looking at all those photos. But close to travel time we got emails with heaps of instructions - what to do, what not to do. No linen, pillow covers, towels or even bin bags - kind of weird. Bedrooms are actually much smaller than what they look like in photos. Mattress qualities are also very average. There are lots of instructions on the walls. The owner also looked us on his CC camera to ensure the actual number of people entering the property. Some of our friends were living on another property nearby. When they came to visit we got notifications from the owner that guest are not allowed. Property by itself is ok but the owner's actions made the stay very unpleasant. The Varandah with view and outside decking sitting area are the best features of this property. Access to beach is just other side of this road.

Gosh. What a shame I didn’t fully read other people’s reviews on Google before booking this place. After reading a few reviews I did get very worried and asked the owner repeatedly if i could cancel and pay some money (there’s a no cancellation policy). The owner never replied to my repeated requests about that topic.
The terms and conditions are ridiculously fanatical. Read them very carefully.
We took videos and photos when we arrived- one of the balcony doors was difficult to open and the owner has since accused us of breaking the door lock, despite photos of the corrosions and wear and tear.
She is charging us close to $300 to replace and repair it. If turning a door handle and it breaking leads to this sort of accusation and unpleasantness (super rude texts from owner about matter), I wouldn’t ever go near the place.
The external video cameras feel strange. There is no ping pong table as advertised. The house is moderately clean but not sparkling. The cost to hire linen is pricy and the internet is charged to you if you go over a small amount while staying there. The windows don’t have proper locks so if you’re concerned about safety then this isn’t the place for you. We found the whole experience stressful and a real shame. Also, you can’t have any guests visit. Strange hey?

We stayed at this place earlier this year. The location to the beach is good, but otherwise the entire experience was below par. Buried in the house rules is a requirement that guests bring their own linen or pay extra. This was shocking for $1,000+ per night accommodation. House was not luxury - VHS tapes, numerous rules and restrictions regarding the kitchen, furniture is dated. Overall I would recommend guests look elsewhere in Peppermint Grove Beach which is an amazing little town. 1/10
