Flux & Facet Studio Workshop

If you want to get creative and walk out with your own design piece of jewellery this is a must do experience. We had the best time, Emma is an amazing teacher and breaks down each step to ensure you are confident in what you have to do. I can highly recommend it. We absolutely loved it and are keen to book again.

Flux & Facet provided me and my group with an absolutely amazing experience. The workshop is so lovely and well equipped with everything you could need to make unique and beautiful pieces of jewellery. The class was very informative, professional and accommodating to all abilities. Emma truly knows her stuff, we learnt a lot! We had fun and took home some beautiful jewellery that I now wear proudly everyday. I would highly recommend Flux & Facet, thank you Emma.

This was such a fantastic class to attend. Emma was friendly, patient, incredibly knowledgeable and a wonderful teacher. The break down of each step was simple, easy to understand and she was kind enough to indulge me in lengthy discussions about metalsmithing - answering all the questions I fired at her. The end products - stacking rings - were beautiful and it was a brilliant morning learning, sharing and creating. Five stars all the way.

I love the workshops at Flux and Facet. In my excitement I always doubt that I will be able to concentrate but Emma always breaks things down into neat little easy to follow steps. Emma is full of encouragement and at the end I always take home something beautiful that I love to bits. It's such a satisfying experience to make something so special. I recently completed the six week Beginner's course and cannot recommend it highly enough. Emma is a great teacher, she made learning how to create silver jewellery easy and fun with clear instructions, a relaxed environment and plenty of encouragement. It made me feel confident to tackle this new challenge and I ended up with beautiful, unique pieces which I love to wear. Have booked my next workshop already, can't wait!

I have just had the pleasure of spending 4 hours with Emma learning how to make stacking silver rings. What a wonderful morning. Emma is patient, professional and so knowledgeable. We were taken through the steps to make 4 rings of our choice and instructed on how to use all the equipment in the studio. A fantastic experience my friend and I gifted ourselves as a Christmas celebration. I am so pleased with my finished rings and would not hesitate to recommend Emma's workshops to anyone wanting to learn jewellery making. One of the best learning experiences I have had. Emma is an excellent teacher who makes you feel empowered to try things that might seem a bit harder first. I made some beautiful pieces in my 6 week course and left with skills and knowledge to take my own “craft” in a new direction. Highly recommend

I recently attended the 6 week beginners class workshops with Emma of Flux & Facet. I’ve always wanted to give jewellery making a go and Emma’s class was just perfect. We completed 4 projects. I really enjoyed Emma’s teaching approach... we were given bite size instructions before moving onto the next stage of the project. Skills learned were able to be repeated and reinforced through to the next piece giving you confidence as you moved through the creative process each week. I finished with some great jewellery that I will wear and with an appetite to learn & do more of Emma’s workshops. Highly recommended, and I’m sure the one day workshops would equally be as fun & rewarding if you can’t fulfil a 6 week commitment. I’ll be back! ♥💍🤩

I did the 6 week introductory course and it was amazing!!! Emma has exceptional skills and experience but most importantly is able to pass on her knowledge in a supportive and friendly manner. Each class was thorough, professional and intriguing and I can't believe the quality of the pieces we made without any previous experience. I would definitely recommend booking classes with her!

I went to a morning session with a couple of friends to make our own earrings. I had no idea what to expect, and absolutely no experience. The whole process was amazing and a lot of fun. Emma, the instructor, was easy going, obviously very skilled, and on hand to help when needed. Emma was determined to make the experience enjoyable and productive in terms of a relatively impressive wearable piece of jewellery. Go and give it a try with a couple of friends, you won’t be disappointed!

I'm not sure what I was expecting when I booked this workshop.along with 3 other work colleagues. I probably imagined something like a metal work lesson at school where my lack of skill would quickly be apparent and I'd cause the teacher no end of frustration. That could not be further from the reality.

Emma is intelligent and professional and treated us in exactly the same way. She was a calm and patient teacher and shared her knowledge in an engaging and inspiring way. Understanding how silver is shaped and worked and the variety of tools used to do this was fascinating. She supported us to exactly the extent we wanted or needed. It was perfect. I have an all new respect and awe for hand- made jewellery and those who make it.

I loved working in Emma's beautiful workshop while we were treated to delicious teas. The end of the session leaves you on such a high as you create something really worth wearing. Any slight imperfections are what makes the rings uniquely yours. Emma provides local bubbles and treats and it really was an experience worth celebrating.

I would highly recommend this for anyone looking for a memorable and special thing to do with a small group.

This course was great. Emma explains everything beautifully and it’s so easy to follow. Small group of 4 meant you always had her help with each step. Lovely snacks and tea provided. Really fun.
