I've bought many models over the years from Woodpeckers and the staff are terrific. They're very knowledgeable and they will test run a loco that you want to buy just to be sure that it's a good runner. They're extremely helpful and nothing is ever too much trouble. I thoroughly recommend Woodpecker Model Railways without hesitation. They've even offered me a cuppa tea or coffee.

I don’t get to Woodpecker at Pendle Hill as much as I’d like, but this is the only place I can get whatever I need. Andrew and Steve are great guys to talk with about any railway need, and many times they’ve gone out of their way to look after me. Getting things in on special orders is no hardship for them, and you always feel genuine friendliness whenever I’ve been there. And what they haven’t got, isn’t worth getting. It’s a goldmine. And Marilyn is always friendly and helpful. Go in there on a Saturday and it’s packed, I’d recommend going in midweek for a chat and keep up to date with all model releases. Forget the department store type hobby shops, this is a gem.

Very expensive and not friendly. Depending who is there not very knowledgeable. Always the same stock on show. The shop smells a bit and is run down. Not a good neighbourhood for parking either. But they do have lifelike brand which I like

Friendly team, very knowledgable when getting answer to your questions. They are always ready to help in anyway they can. Store is amazing, and if you like Model Railways your like a kid in a candy store.

Very good store carries lots of British outline models great guys have been going to for the last 16 years highly recommend them.

Also now have switched to O Gauge from N gauge , they are stocking O gauge Heljan, Dapol just to name a couple at very competetive prices.
