I had a great experience with Helen and her team. She was one of the few places that didn't lecture me when I said I had six months until the wedding. She reassured me that a size 16 wouldn't be hard to fit so I was happy to make a booking and take my Mum along.

She made my Mum feel so special and it made my reservations about the whole experience melt away. We didn't go anywhere else after our trip to Anastasia Collections. The shop is comfortable (not flashy or daunting in any way) and as we went during the week, it was nice and quiet. I would recommend this approach!

It was nice to have someone talk honestly with me about what they could do for me and they have a wide range of well priced dresses. I wanted something simple and classic that I could tailor in to fit my curves and that's exactly what I got! Lenny, the dress maker, worked with me closely and even did a small alteration within the hour during my last fitting (I was being picky). Tip: make sure you get the quote for alterations written on your receipt at the very beginning as these things tend to naturally blow out.

They also altered my Mum's MOB dress and she was delighted with the experience too. Overall, we were both very happy and had lots of comments throughout the the wedding day.

Helen was lovely and very helpful. I had a great experience here. As an added bonus they do alterations in store so it's a lovely one stop shop for a wide range of wedding dresses and formalwear.

Well this is a family business and joan and helen are the best bridal gowns shop that I have been to. The ladies are very helpful and all the attention is on the bride. I would recommend this bridal gowns to any bride to be. Thankyou ladies for a good night.

Service and alterations were quick, We planned to have our wedding 7 weeks from the first alteration- which was done 2 weeks before. Felt beautiful in my dress and everyone, especially my now husband, loved it! Alterations were quoted to be 450 and I was charged 750- honesty would have given you a 5 star, but I was happy with the dress so I will give a 3 star instead of a 1 star.

I was so utterly disappointed with Anastasia Bridal and would never recommend any bride ever use them.

I bought my dress from Anastasia Bridal early in the year and booked for my final fitting 1 month before the wedding. The reason I chose their dress above all others was:

1. the price was reasonable (for an off the rack dress)
2. the alteration quote was fantastic ($150 to tighten the bust area and do the hem)

One month before the wedding, I very excitedly went for my first fitting. After they told me what a difficult job it was going to be, they cut open both sides of my dress because they couldn't work out why there were creases across the pelvis area. I felt sick and wanted to cry - I felt I had made the biggest mistake choosing one of their dresses. Helen then told me the price of alteration was going to be at least $340!!!!! That was more than double the original quote!! But my hands were tied... one month before the wedding and my dress was awful!! What could I do??

So after leaving, I rang one of the other owners (Joan) who reassured me we would come to an agreement and not to be upset. I waited for the week's appointment because they were going to alter the bust of the dress. One week later, I arrived for my appointment only to find NOTHING had been done. My dress was still cut open on both sides and the pins were still in the top of the dress. Joan said they weren't going to do anything further until we agreed a price!! Couldn't we have had this conversation a week ago, instead of wasting another week??? She then said alteration would be $280 and I obviously said yes - again, what choice did I have.

In the end, after all the alterations, my dress didn't fit me properly, the chiffon overlay was loose and the seamstress kept telling me that's how the dress had been made. Please tell me what bride wants to walk down the aisle in an ill-fitting dress??? I thought that's what alterations were for???? Anyway, to cut a very long story short, their customer service is non-existent. And to top it off, when I picked up my dress, they STILL had to hand sew some of the chiffon onto the dress - it looked disgusting.

When I went to pay my $280 alteration ripoff price, Joan didn't even have the guts to ask me if I was happy, but still charged the full $280!! I was absolutely disgusted and have told everyone I know about my awful experience with them.
