SERIOUSLY... THE most beautiful freakin pies in Australia!!!!!! Staff are beyond friendly, warm & professional. Every trip we do to Isa, hungry or not, we come here and purchased pastries to take home 250 ks away. Gawd ppl, seriously awesome Pies, like my Grandma used to make only MUCH larger!

Highly recommend getting a pie or pretty much anything from this place.
The pastry on the pie was so flaky and the filling was chunks of meat with a great tasty saucy gravy.

What a selection of cakes & pies. I have visited a lot of different bakeries in my travels and I have to say Grant’s Cakes & Pies is right up at the top.
When we arrived they were queued out the door, but that just give us more time to make our selection.
The staff are very friendly and efficient, the cakes are oh so yummy & I wished we arrived at lunch time rather than morning tea, as the list of pies is not only amazing but also a little different.
There is plenty of parking either in the centre or on the street and some outdoor table to enjoy, you selection if you choose.
Sitting outside we saw a constant stream of people in and out.

Good selection of cakes and pies and sandwiches and drinks. Cake/ slice portions reasonable. Caramel cheese cake and vanilla slice both tasty and well made. Large black coffee nicely strong. Friendly staff. Clean, well presented store. About 22 seats outside, shared with other shops. No seating inside. Plenty of parking for regular vehicles. Prices towards the higher end, but OK.

We did a road trip from Darwin to Biloela up Sunshine Coast to tablelands and Cairns then back around through Julia Creek and Mount Isa back to Darwin….this place hand the best pies for flavour and pastry!!! Well done!! We’ve had a few pies on our trip!

I've been to a lot of bakery's before, but this one really takes the cake. Great service, best food, and try their lamintons they are the best

Great cakes. I particularly enjoyed the Apple Turnovers. The cream was fresh, apples sweet and pastry was firm and suitably flakey. Just as good are Grant's loaves of bread. A gem of a bakery in the far outback.

I can't believe I haven't given this place a good review yet. Their egg, cheese, mayo and beetroot sandwiches and vegetable pasties are the BEST! Probably the best bakery in the outback that I've been to, and I have lived in other outback Queensland towns, travelling around a fair bit. I go here on the regular and have since the day I moved to the Isa. The staff are very very friendly, sometimes we talk too much and hold up the line! Wholesome!

Best pepper steak pie. Big chunks of meat, tender and with a perfectly balanced pepper kick.

OMG, so glad I don't live here, I love their food, would be here all the time.

The best pies in town. Steak & Hollandaise is an absolute cracker. I try to go as often as possible!

This is one amazing bakery. Pies have heaps of tasty filling, mouthwatering pastry, enjoyed every bite. French vanilla slice every good as home made. Coffee great, staff fantastic. Can't recommend it enough
