Free camping at the golf club and decided to have Chinese for dinner
WOW! Make sure you hungry as the meal sizes are more than enough and no problem catered to my food allergy.

Travelling through Coonabarabran for work and some of the other reviewer's photos from Lotus looked appetising so we decided to give it a shot! Got the sweet sour pork and Mongolian beef lunch specials and both were super great. Hot, tasty, with excellent fried rice. Decently priced, and a good sized serving. It was very quiet when we went for lunch, and the service was friendly, helpful, and quick. Nice views of the golf course too.

I don't normally give 5/5 but this place was great the food the service everything was top notch. If your in the area make sure you stop in and have a meal.

Having first tried the Golden Sea Dragon Chinese Restaurant and walking out utterly disappointed with the food and service, and rudeness of the woman at reception, I was recommended by some locals to give Lotus Chinese Restaurant a go. From day dot, the quality of food, standard of customer service and prices matched that of Sydney (unlike some of the highly inflated prices you can get in some pubs and restaurants around the region). And ever since day dot, I've been a regular. During Covid, the restaurant saw a huge increase of takeaway orders, which meant wait time was sometimes a bit longer than usual, so it was great to see that this restaurant had the support of locals. I would highly recommend any out-of-towners, or those new to the area, to give this place a go. A++

Quiet location. Overlooks the golf course. Major benefit: MSG FREE! Also Kevin will cater for Gluten free..just ask. Food is always fresh. Alcoholic drinks are available from the golf club bar. Good family venue.

Food delivered on time and was hot. Szechuan steak was hot and spicy and Mongolian Lamb very tasty. Highly recommend.

Consistently delicious food. Rainbow beef was terrific, rice was on point, lemon chicken is always a winner, and the service delivery was fantastic. Will be back.

Ordered a veg fried rice with spring rolls for the missus. Pretty good. Option for veg folks besides the local subway

Really nice food but a bit slow in delivery. Also, don't sit outside, you'll get 1000 bugs on you.

Delicious food and an amazing staff! If you sit near the windows you can see a lot of birds and kangaroos sometimes it was absolutely lovely!

That was fantastic - the honey chicken and the buk choy were straight outta the top drawer. Lotus is a non-negotiable pit stop next time im in town. Thank you!

Excellent food, love the lemon chicken where you actually get chicken fillets rather than chicken bites like you get elsewhere.

Best Chinese food around. Basic dining atmosphere.but food certainly makes it worthwhile
