Dean is a true professional. I first went to Dean in 2017 with a historical eye condition and he was the first optometrist who actually spent the time to meticulously diagnose my condition. Dean is truly a level above the rest. He leaves no stone unturned in his approach. The practice has a great range and variety of eyewear that you won’t find at any of the household name operators. I highly recommend Dean.

You think you're doing alright by visiting all those optometry super stores, right? Visiting every couple of years, getting your eyes checked, being told a whole bunch of things that you don't REALLY understand, and you're saving $$ with spectacle 2-4-1 bundle buys.

I called Dean a year ago and what impressed me most was how warm & genuinely interested he was in my concerns. He gave me limitless time & above all, listened with focus and intent. I never once felt I had to repeat myself, shorten my 'story' or felt hurried along.

Dean excels in actively listening to you and engages gently. He provides in depth explanations of what he will perform, the why behind each and patiently explains any findings - without all that rubbish jargon! Dean possesses warmth and humour which makes for a comfortable and relaxed consultation. You can ask Dean anything - repeat any or all of your worries and he will take as much time as needed to ensure you leave feeling fully informed & in control of your future eye health.

In my opinion, and having spent years upon years visiting ALL the super stores (and spending endless amounts of $$ without 'visible' improvements), Dean has a way of explaining eye health and maintenance much better than anyone else in the industry. Dean needs to be at every beauty counter around Australia, at every Sephora/Mecca/online make-up platform, because we ladies have not been educated on the importance of taking care of our eyes alongside the using make-up. Maintaining dedicated daily eye care is so important! Having a quality eye camera like Dean's is also something women need because you truly have your eyes 'opened' when you see your eyes magnified so beautifully.

I had many layers of eye concerns and each and every one was attended to with patience, information, care and professionalism. Dean is genuinely consistent in helping you understand what is going on with your eyesight and helping you navigate options.

And last but not least, I cannot say enough about front of house extraordinaire, Holly!
Dean is terrific but Holly is spectacular as the face of Dean Samarkovski Optometrist.
Holly's telephone etiquette, empathy, patience, care and concern in speaking with you is second to none! Holly is seamless in bringing everything together in a compassionate way that makes you feel 'seen' - whether you make an appointment or not. Meeting her in person was a pleasure.

At no time during my lengthy telephone enquiries or face to face meet up with Dean or Holly, did I feel pressured to make an appointment or pushed to purchase anything. My interactions with Dean Samarkovski Optometrist felt like being with long standing friends or family.
I highly recommend Dean's optometry services and I will never return to a super store again.

EXCELLENT SERVICE! I’m so glad I found Dean to do an eye checkup on my 3-year-old. He was extremely professional, playful and gentle. Absolutely the best optometrist! My whole family go to Dean. Dean has helped my mother with her dry eyes when no one else could help her, even an ophthalmologist could not even help her. He is great with my son and his myopia. And he has helped other family members of different age groups with their eyesight. I highly recommend Dean for all eye conditions. His practice is exceptionally clean and he takes the time to really check the eyes, explain everything, and get the prescription correct first time when you wear the glasses. The reception staff too, Angela and Emma, are lovely and friendly. I would not go anywhere else.

Both Marcie and Dean deliver an excellent level of service. I booked an eye test for both myself and my daughter and found Dean to be extremely thorough. He patiently explained the results of the tests and offered some advice for some optional treatment.
I will definitely be going back here.

I have to say thanks to Dean and Marcie, I now have wonderful brand new glasses. I stopped at the optometrists by chance and happenstance and was welcomed as a friend. Immediately arrangements were made for an appointment for an examination for a prescription. The examination was thorough and best of all Dean explained all that the examination found. When I advised that I am a pensioner and could not afford new glasses they straight up told me about the 'new glasses" service provided by Queensland Health for concession card holders. I was so very excited. All the paper work and administration was done by them and lo and behold 4 weeks later new glasses arrived in my mail. I have only the highest respect for Dean and also for Marcie for their professionalism and also compassionate care, and am very happy to highly recommend them to you

After many, many months of searching, I finally found the perfect glasses here at Dean Samarkovski Optometrist. Not only does Dean have the best range of stunningly stylish glasses, but he is also the most thorough and caring optometrist I have met. Dean and his team provided the highest quality care from my initial eye test right through to receiving my glasses. Couldn't be happier with my new frames and look forward to my next pair!

Easily one of the best, if not the best, optometrist in Brisbane. Both Dean and his assistant are always so lovely, and have made the last few trips to the optometrist both pleasant and enjoyable. They make an effort to learn your name and teach you a little about the product you're trying on. I doubt you could find another optometrist in Brisbane which takes such care of their customers and the presentation of their products.

I went to Dean to obtain my CASA optometrist certificate. He was very proffesional and made the stressful process a lot easier. The receptionist was also lovely, offering me a hot drink before my appointment

I went in for one of the most thorough eye-checks I've ever experienced since having to wear glasses, and as a result knew more about my eyes than ever before. The service was professional and concise where it mattered, while still having a very friendly attitude and willing to have a chat. Can't recommend them enough.
