Stanthorpe Cheese

Great little stop, staff were lovely and welcoming.
Cheese was great. we stopped in at the cafe and had a ploughmans platter with feta, blue lagoon (soft blue) and Stanthorpe mature cheddar for lunch…all delicious. Took home some of the mature cheddar, and grabbed a couple of others to try granite gold (ash veined) and Thulimbah (hard, washed curd cheese). Little of the drive through track but worth the detour.

Amazing experience! Loved the cheese tasting. We did the tasting then chose tb cheeses we enjoyed the most for our cheese platter. It's was.
HUGE and delicious! Service was lovely and such a lovely spot to sit outside with drinks and a platter. We will be back a third time!

My personal favourite cheeses were Brass Monkey Blue, Feta and Thulimba😍 Firstly, you need to get their cheese tasting for only $3. We’ve ordered with crackers for $5. There were 13 different cheeses to try and they also let us taste their honey, relish and quince. Definitely a place to visit when you’re going to Stanthorpe🤗

I’m going as far to say it’s the best cheesecake I’ve ever had! There was cheese platters that were leaving the kitchen that looked epic too. They also serve wine from the local wineries. Lots of deli items to get at the shop area too and of course cheese. Lovely place, worth the trip.

Even though the cheese tasting had a cost it was still worth it. I had their scones with rosella jam & they were yum. There was a very good range of local products.

We got the cheese sampler board. Great way to try all the different varieties they make. We got there around noon on a Sunday, and it was a very busy little place.

Nice little store with free cheese tasting! They are opened 7 days from 9.30 to 4.00 and have a free cheese tasting session every half an hour. You can book yourself for the next session when you get to the store.
They have 10 types of lovely cheeses. We loved their "Stanthorpe Matured". They also have couple of blue cheeses which were milder in taste, that we also liked.
The staff was nice and very helpful.
We ordered a cheese board for snacking and you can have 3 cheeses of your choice. It took some time to arrive, but they were busy as well with a lot of people turning up on the weekend.
They have a range of pastes, chutneys and jams to chose from as well.

I didn’t even know there was such a wonderful thing as cheese tastings. What a delight to try all the local cheeses and enjoy a wine and a tea

We had the delicious Ploughman’s Lunch. Loved that a full crusty loaf of bread was served with it. The cheese tasting plate was a great concept. Suggestion to make it even more of a must visit destination: we had wanted to see something to do with the cheese making that is done there. Could there be an opportunity for daily cheese making demonstrations, or a display of the cheese making process journey?

Enjoyed the cheese tasting platter and some good strong coffee. Highly recommend a quick stop over at the cafe.

What a great little business, with such friendly staff.
This is such an easy spot to get to with plenty of parking for all.
From the time you leave your car your senses are being teased, with country charm.
Once inside you can choose either to simply browse the shop or purchase some lovely products or enjoy a cheese tasting or all 3 and that was the way we went.
There is a small charge for the cheese tasting, but we’ll worth it and very informative. We were amazed at the different tastes between the cheeses, but more importantly were really enjoyed getting a better understanding of what goes into making them.
The outlaw and brass monkey were our two favourites & we are still savouring them.
Once the tasting was over and we selected our cheese purchases, it was time for a coffee, scones, cream with sour cherry jam, yum.
The area out side is lovely, to sit in and enjoy your drink or food.
Like most country businesses they go out of their way to make you feel welcome.
Their speciality the scones and sour cherry jam is well worth a try, as are their cheeses.
Small businesses like this are so important to the tourist, traveler, as they add that bit of extra to your trip & in most cases give you a little delight that you won’t get else where.

We had a great time at Stanthorpe Cheese, 5 of us, including my 2 year old, did the cheese tasting and ordered some food and beverages and then. Cheese platter for after. It was huge! A great selection of local made food and beverages and delicious cheeses 😊

Fantastic experience, great selection of tasty wines, cheese and relishes/jams. Friendly staff, good service, $30 share plate cheese platter was great value for money (3 cheeses, 3 accompaniments and crackers/bread), couldn’t even finish it all, but they let us take it away. Great place to go to support the local community.

Absolutely lovely! Fine food, (the PLOUGHMAN'S LUNCH - is a must) - designed for 2 to share, so filling and beautifully done, delicious cheeses of your choice, they are all soo good.
Coffee!! - smooth, strong, without bite or bitterness and the milkshakes, are creamy and delicious. What more can I say..ohh yes, the staff - they just make you want to come back again and again, that's what happens when the service is super friendly, with that country, farm hospitality willing to make sure you have a great time.
This place is a MUST to visit.
You will not regret it. We go everything we visit Stanthorpe!
