United Martial Arts & Fitness Academy (UMA Cockburn)

My son did 6 months of TKD and really enjoyed it. He has decided to pursue other interests but nothing bad to say about this place. The staff and instructors are great with the kids.

UMA offer a wide range of programs, yet focused training in all aspects of martial arts. They cater to the specific needs of each age group. Training targets the development of each child. They teach the art of Taekwondo, developing passion, discipline, respect, honour and strength, and magnify health and well-being for all who attend.

We have been with the club for 6 years. The program is systematic / clear pathway for growth and opportunities to train /take part in state competitions if they wish to. Thanks to Master Kim and the team, my son loves being part of this family!

I started taekwondo in October.
And I was promoted to the yellow belt in December.
Now I am training hard for the promotion in mid-March.
I started this exercise because of back pain after I got older, but it's perfect for me.
I go three times a week, but after sweating a lot, I feel like I'm feeling light.

Very popular Taekwondo school. Daughter has been coming for a few years and enjoys the lessons being taught. Well run and organised. Recommend giving it a try.

United Martial Arts is a fantastic Martial Arts School. My son Michael has been learning Taekwondo there for nearly 3 years now and has enjoyed every lesson. The Masters are all very encouraging and teach the correct technique as well as teaching them Korean language as well. Each child is on their own learning journey and watching them all grow in confidence, ability, self respect and having fun at the same time is wonderful to see. I also like that parents can watch the lessons and see your child grow and learn each week. I thoroughly recommend this school! Thank you Master Kim!

Our son has been attending the martial arts fitness academy for about 3 years now. It has been fantastic & he loves it! The masters are very professional, firm & fair. They encourage & help the kids to do their best. So great to know that if given the situation in the future he will know how to protect himself!

It is a sensational academy training students to become the best person they can be both physically and mentally. Students who go there will come back with great technical ability, more confidence, better attitudes, better positive mindset and more determination. It works on all levels for kids, the kids who want to get fit and the kids who have ambition to participate in state and national competitions all train together in a fun, enjoyable environment. Master Kim is well and truly a qualified instructor who knows what he is doing he can pick up even the slightest of mistakes, he doesn’t want you to be good he wants you to be the best. I would highly recommended UMA to anyone. You will get your moneys worth!!

Fantastic club and ethic. My son has been attending here for over a year and I have been impressed with the quality of teaching from the instructors and the attitude displayed by my son since. The school not only teaches martial arts but self discipline, community ,inclusiveness. They encourage their students to achieve their maximum potential at the school and in life.Belts are earned not just given to the students.Weli worth the money spent. Highly recommended to anyone wanting to give their child a gift for life!!

The masters are very skilled and treat the children with respect. I couldn't recommend this more for your child. It has been the best decision we have made for our son and the best place to do this.

Our daughter joined almost a year ago and absolutely loves it. The instructors are excellent and very supportive. Each student is taught discipline, respect and honour. Our daughters fitness, flexibility and coordination has greatly improved since joining the TKD class. There is a range of students size, gender and skill level. UMA has both male and female instructors. Thank you UMA for being such an awesome dojo.

My daughters 8 and 5 have been attending United martial arts and fitness academy for a few years now. The masters are great and have an awesome way of training the students. An awesome martial arts academy with most friendly team of staff and clean facilities. The morning Little Tigers class is an excellent way to get 3-4yo to get started without getting overwhelmed by the "loudness" of the afternoon classes.

Definitely deserves 5 star . Amazing instructors, and great classes! The instructors are full of positive energy that will keep kids motivated and keep them coming back for more. Since my kids has joined them , I can see the impact in their physical condition, confidence, motivation, moral values, respect for others,... , really great place

Great place for the kids to be involved in physical sports. Master Kim is a true TKD champion and so are many of the masters there. Great conbination of fun, discipline and overall physical activities and my son enjoyed it.

Both of my daughters have had the guidance and training with Master Kim and his fantastic team for almost 5 years. How they achieve the children’s focus and determination is truly amazing! I look forward to seeing my daughters train for many years to come.

UMA is a great place for my kids to learn martial arts. While they are at that, they pick up discipline, respect and courage. The instructors are professional and impressive at their skills. My daughter especially like Master Kim. I will continue to send my children to UMA and hope they can advanced to the black belt and the mixed martial levels!

I've been part of the UMA family since I was 7 now I am nearly 11 and I could not thank master Kim and the other instructors enough as I have just graded to first Dan Black Belt. Not only have they taught me Taekwondo they have also taught me to be brave and to be resilient. I highly recommend the club for other kids to join UMA to learn and make friends for life like I have.

A physio recommended TKD at UMA to help with our son's core strength and his flexibility. Not only have these improved, but he has also become more confident, more focused and has learnt the benefits of discipline and hard work. Such a lovely supportive environment, a great mix of professionalism and fun!
