Broome Historical Museum

A great little museum well maintained and stocked with a lot of historical information, displays and photos. The 2 lovely volunteers, Jenene and Janice were very informative and answered my questions. You'll not regret paying a visit to this museum. One of the best museums that I have visited.

Interesting place to visit, the pearl industry and its dark past was interesting to learn about. As were the dinosaurs that lived here.

This is a most interesting museum. Rather than displaying everything locally historical, they have concentrated on a few themes: the attack during WW!! and the pearl shell industry. The displays are well laid out and it is easy to move around the various display sites. The staff appear to be volunteers and are all very helpful and enthusiastic. The entry price is modest and no doubt will be ploughed back into the further improvement of the facility. We were in Broome for a short stay and in the hour that we visited the museum we were able to gain important insights into the lifestyle of the early pioneers here and indeed those who followed. I am happy to recommend a visit here to any visitor to Broome.

Broome is a proud town and it's well on display here. And I did like the CWA corner, as often many of this museums are cataloguing the efforts of men.

Excellent. Variety of info. Well set out. Lady at front desk was lovely. Great idea to offer a pass out if needed. Recommend going there.

This place was great! Really well laid out displays. Exceeded my expectations.

Tonnes of information and well organized. Got through it in an hour but could probably spend another 30mins reading further info sheets. Great value for money.

Very informative. Great artifacts etc. Expected to stay about 20mins but was there for over an hour! So interesting and well laid out. Recommend for all ages. A must see!

The Broome Historical Museum has excellent exhibits well laid which will appeal to all ages. The history of Broone is a fascinating one the the story is well told at this Museum.

Excellent don't miss it! Great array of memorabilia from dinosaurs to Peatling to sail making!

Great place to visit showcases Broome's history, something to keep everyone interested. Beautifully kept gardens and sea views.

A wonderful space that has history and fun things to explore around each corner.
Be warned you will need at least a couple of hours to interact with everything.

Only a small museum but full of history, definitely worth a visit.

Cool little museum, a must do when in Broome to learn the local history of the area. Would recommend

Very interesting collections of last century artefacts. Cameras, WW1 & 2 memorabilia, household appliances, and a large shell collection to name but a few. 3 buildings, can spend 2 hours there easily. Well worth the time and money. Bus stops at the front door.

The museum is a great place to visit to see the history of the Broome area & people.

A rare look into the historical pearl industry in Broome. Also some quite interesting items from WW2 and info re the Japanese aerial attacks. Eclectic and absorbing.
