Dwellingup Forest Lodge

Absolutely love the view at Dwellingup Forest Lodge, Very quite and feels like you're far away from home which 1hr and 30 min drive from Perth. Close to the restaurant, shops and lane pool reserve. We stayed 2 nights May of 2024 with 2 dogs which indeed a great value for 2 bedroom chalet for 4 adults. Each chalet has enclosure for your fur babies which you cannot find much accommodation let the dogs in the Chalets. Great thing about Dwellingup Forest Lodge is when you have 2 families or a party of 10 you can book 2 Chalets (#7 ring neck 28) side by side and can open the division of your verandas to join together.
Very clean BBQ area. They have free kayaks to use (just check before you use though) I enjoyed kayaking which is so tranquil, before dark and saw a lot of 🦞 lobster to my surprise. And if your dogs are dirty or full of mud after swimming, they have a hose just infront of the veranda so accessible to wash your fur babies. We also enjoyed playing Frisbee with their beautiful maintained lawn.

Just need some up keep in some areas. But other than that, we enjoyed our stay, so PEACEFUL.

Very family friendly in a beautiful location where you can take your dog with lovely friendly owners.

We needed some family relaxing time away from home and stayed in one of the well equipped, clean, very cosy, comfortable chalets with a lovely veranda that overlooked a rolling forest and a dam.

There is also a games room with a pool table and ping pong which our kids loved as well as the fire pit.

We’re definitely coming back.

Dwellingup Forest Lodge is a wonderful place for a quiet getaway.
The chalets are extremely clean and tidy and offer everything you need. We loved that we could bring along our pup and watch him play all day by the lake. He had such a blast! As did we. The kayaks are freely available to paddle on the water and enjoy the tranquility.
Jude was a lovely host that made us feel very welcome.
We will definitely be coming back, and next time we will bring our friends and their dogs for another great weekend away.
Also to note: Dwellingup town is also quite dog friendly, so we were able to eat out with our pup at several different places, which is very convenient if you wish to leave the chalet, as you cannot leave your dog unattended at the lodge.

The owners, Jude and Harold, have operated the place for many years, and they take pride in it. We booked a 2-bedroom lodge, which comfortably sleeps five. The place is spotless clean. It's dog-friendly, there's even a dog yard at the back of each lodge. The 8 lodges face a lake where a canoe and several kayaks are available to use.
We enjoyed staying here very much. Thank you, Jude and Harold, for making the property available to use.

A peaceful and relaxing getaway. Not far from Perth, surrounding by trees and wild nature! Enjoyed listening to the birds, bush walking, kayaking and swimming in the lake! The owner keep the chalets very clean and tidy, especially the bed, very comfortable! Also felt extremely good we could bring our dog there. Thanks Jude and Harold.

Great simple accommodation, bathrooms are clean, room is nice size and fresh clean bedding. Only thing we'd add is a little mirror in the rooms and bugs kept getting in at night with doors closed they would crawl on the beds and it was annoying otherwise was great

Had such a lovely weekend away here. The room and amenities had thought and attention to every detail, including if you were to bring your fur babies or all the cookware you could need for extended stays. The staff were friendly and accommodating. Gorgeous views and well maintained grounds, with the added fun of supplied water boats, kayaks and canoe. Highly recommend!

Whether it's for two couples or a family, this is the perfect place to stay when visiting Dwellingup. Eight spacious cottages, each with its own entrance, and facing the large grass area and the lake, where you can raw and swim.
The cottages are spotless, as are the three gas BBQS in the gazebo, complete with tables, chairs, and utensils. The beds are most comfortable, very good quality linnen, same as the towels.
Could not fault it, highly recommend it.

Beautifully equipped rooms, with all the amenities needed for a fantastic getaway. Great air-conditioning and comfortable furnishings made the room delightful during to relax in. Every cooking utensil was provided and would be perfect for a longer stay. The lake and surrounding grounds are fun to explore, and the supplied boats make for great fun out in the giant lake. Wifi and a land-line phone for the room made a perfect addition for keeping in contact if desired, and mobile reception was just available in the rooms for calls.

A truly excellent getaway. Very clean chalets, beautiful setting and a wonderful lake as a back drop. So relaxing and woofy friendly. This is our new go to place.

It was a peaceful get away. Clean rooms, lovely staff and amazing view from the house. Huge area to explore and great fun for your dogs!

I loved how this place had everything you would need in terms of linen, appliances, dishes and toiletries. It was also spotlessly clean, with a very comfortable bed. A good place to bring a family, nice and quiet with beautiful birdlife.

Quiet, beautifully situated among the trees. Great shared spaces including excellent kitchen and bathrooms. Welcoming, helpful staff - all at bargain prices.

Wow what can I say this place is absolutely stunning 👌🏼 Jude & Harold go above and beyond to keep there guests happy, so clean and comfortable we stayed for 3 nights bringing in the new year at this wonderful place and didn’t want to leave, we will definitely be back. Thank you Jude & Harold 🥰
