I can definitely say Ivan is a very professional expert and he knows what I want to do then made it magically!
My boy's flute just can't make the correct sound
all of sudden and the other shops said it might take few weeks to few month to get repaired.
However, Ivan fixed it in an hour!!!

My daughter got her second-hand flute serviced, and it came back beautifully polished, in tune and with a much better sound. The mechanisms work so well, and the f-key (which wasn't working before) now plays like it was never broken! She is very happy with how well it plays after the service. Highly recommend!

I can't say enough about Ivan's expertise in wood-winds repair work. I've been working as a jazz saxophonist for many years and have met many repair people on the east coast of Australia, ie. Sydney, Melbourne, Brisbane, Adelaide etc. I now reside in Perth, AU and couldn't believe my luck when a student of mine recommended Ivan (her daughter had some work done on her clarinet some years ago) and he just lived up the road from me. Ivan recently did work on my beloved Selmer '48 alto saxophone and having just spent three hours wood-shedding it was so impressed how beautifully it played and his fee for services was more than reasonable. I would recommend Ivan's professionalism and reasonable rates to any musician, be it a professional player or student.

Ivan is highly professional , expert technician with years of experience. He was available almost immediately and overhauled my Yamaha 62 within a week. His prices are reasonable, especially considering the amount of work needed to restore the horn to a playable condition.

This is an older Yamaha model, a solid instrument, but the previous technician messed it up so badly that it needed ICU.
After a week I got a brand new set of pads that seal perfectly, new corks and felts, and a much needed alignment of the keys. The sax feels just right and plays better than ever.

I feel safe knowing he's just around the corner from me, and I'll definitely be back for regular checkups, or even just a friendly chat and some advice on instrument care.

Ivan did an overhaul on my Armstrong flute and having just received it back I can say it sounds amazing. Highly recommend. He even helped facilitate postage to and from Karratha without a glitch. Thanks for the great service Ivan, much appreciated.

We contacted Ivan last week as we had a part of a clarinet that our son had misplaced. So, I'm a terrible musician, and in the 20 odd years I've owned my flute, I've never got it serviced. Returning to play I realised that many notes were hard to play and thought I'd buy a new flute. However, after much research, I learned that I already had a good flute and a service should bring it back to it's former glory. I then researched people to service my beloved instrument and found In Tune Musical Services. I chose to do the complete overhaul & service.
Ivan was a wonderful person to chat to. Very knowledgeable and friendly. The overhaul did not take very long at all (I was expecting it to take a month and it was only a few days, didn't even need to miss out on Band requirements) and when I got it home, I couldn't believe how beautifully it played - I believe it's even better than when I first bought it.

We called Ivan Bowker and he voluntarily assisted us in selecting a second hand sax online, looking through many photos that we sent him, and saving us from making one huge mistake. After he serviced our purchase, for a surprisingly competitive price, we now have a forty-five year old saxophone that plays like a new one but with the tone of a classic.
I have complete confidence in dealing with Ivan. He understands his customers needs, has very fair and transparent pricing, and most of all, knows the instruments and how to restore them to their full potential.
