We approached David for help to repair our storm damaged house. A few years ago he undertook major additions and renovations for a family member and we were impressed by his approach and the quality of his work.

Our project was more about essential building repairs that largely go unseen.

It was not a straightforward matter of following plans and specifications. There were various challenges in matching existing structures and new work. David and his team of workers and consulting engineer provided innovative and cost effective solutions.

The team on our job were professional, friendly, respectful of our property and a pleasure to have around.

We purchased a very run down beach house and engaged Ferrari Constructions to do a total renovation. We could not be happier with the quality of their work. During the renovation many challenges arose from lack of solid foundations of the old house to major water problems. They managed all of the challenges without any problems. They also worked in partnership on all the details of the renovation. We now have a 4 bedroom house with wonderful patio and balcony which is just perfect. The Ferrari team were all delightful. Our family home in Fairlight has recently been renovated by David Ferrari and we could not be happier.

We had a small renovation planned that had more bang for it's buck once we began... David was totally aware of all aspects of our home and the work. He and his crew were able to adapt, improvise and overcome all the obstacles we faced. Our living room for example was sinking into the garden and was 50 mm lower than the rest of the house. Something that went unnoticed in the survey. David advocated we do the job correctly and the next day we lifted her up and added support. We now have a level living room. There was no point during the work where we felt neglected or ignored, David and the guys all listened to all our questions and concerns and took time to think about it and help us and the other crew understand what we were thinking and or concerned about.

David's crew is top notch and the guys were respectful of our family and our home.

The level of quality in the work is really high and I feel like we have increased the liveability and beauty of our home. Obviously it took a little longer to complete and was a little more expensive but that's a small price to pay for a family nest.

I recommend Dave and his crew to any one looking to build or renovate. Just remember to keep breathing:)

Fast forward two years after the sensational renovation of my home by David and his team to June this year (2021). An aging tiled roof had caused water damage inside the house. David assessed the damage, made recommendations, and I decided to replace the roof as well as replace water-damaged interior flooring. Once again, David organised the job, delivery of materials and installation without a hitch. Many thanks to Tom and the team for all their hard work both with the flooring and roof. It was a massive job done in a timely and efficient manner, and always with consideration for me and my kids. The new roof has given the house a real lift and given me peace of mind.

Reliable, professional, highly skilled, considerate, hard-working, organised, thorough, honest, personable, realistic - all words I would use to describe David and his dedicated team. Renovating is a massive undertaking and my 1960’s Killara home was in much need of repair and renewal. From the word go, I knew I was in good hands with DFC. Recommended to me by a friend, David and his team surpassed all expectations, from the quoting stage through to completion. My home has been transformed completely into a beautiful, light-filled and practical living space. Family and friends have been awestruck by the changes and quality of construction in such a short space of time.
My children and I remained in the house while the work was carried out and I greatly appreciated the consideration shown to us by all David’s team. The renovation was completed within the time frame David gave me at the outset. This was truly impressive, given that I requested extra (quite extensive) work along the way. It also illustrated David’s ability to empathise with the inconvenience of renovating and hence complete the work in a timely way to minimise disruption to our lives. David’s team, headed by Ryan, were here every weekday without fail, got on with the job, and always left the worksite as orderly and tidy as possible at day’s end. The quality and timeliness of the work carried out by the other trades David brought in (kitchen and cabinetry, tilers, renderers, glaziers, electrician, wardrobes, painters) also speaks volumes for David’s ability to project manage.

David Ferrari Constructions recently completed a bathroom renovation for me. I got 3 quotes and David was the only builder who firstly turned up on time, and then got a quote to me when they said they would. David was not the cheapest quote i had. But from seeing some of his previous work, i was confident he would deliver a quality end product.

3 Months on im still so rapped with my new bathroom, it came out just the way i had imagined it would.

I cannot recommend David and his team highly enough. I was still living in my flat during the renovation and his team were so polite and courteous every morning they turned up to work. Having dealt with some questionable unreliable tradesmen in the past this is was a pleasant surprise.

I can't recommend DFC highly enough.

Dave excavated the sandstone under our house to add an entertainment room and bathroom and also to solve a long standing water drainage problem. Part way through completing this job i had the confidence in Dave's workmanship to have him put a roof over our existing deck to provide much needed shade from the summer heat.

With both projects Dave offered practical solutions to solve long standing problems and creative designing advice to deliver us a finished product we were really proud of.

Our entertainment room was extremely challenging as it was built below natural ground level in an area that flooded in heavy rain. Dave didn't cut any corners with this notoriously tricky problem and as a result we have a beautifully fitted out and dry man cave that was the envy of all his builders.

Dave and all the team were such a pleasure to have on site. They worked hard and took pride in doing a quality job. They were also good value to have around the house for the few months we had them in our lives.

Finding a builder with experience in meeting more extreme bushfire construction standards – in particular as part of our construction had to meet BAL-FZ standard, proved a substantial problem for us as all the other builders we got quotes from did not have any BAL-FZ construction experience. David’s experience in BAL-FZ construction was of great benefit to us and will be to anyone in the same predicament looking to build.

DFC’s diligence in bringing our complex project to a prompt conclusion – especially with time lost early on to very bad weather, is highly commendable. We believe this is mainly because DFC brings a substantial, highly skilled team to the construction - day in – day out.

All who have seen our house after completion have commented on the highly professional standard of construction, finish and the seamless integration of the old and the new.

We engaged DFC to renovate our home located in Balgowlah, having seen a number of your projects completed in the suburb. Being an early 1900's Californian Bungalow and we had detailed architectural plans drawn up to both freshen the original character and modernise our home, most importantly we wanted to ensure the build was sympathetic to the original Bungalow Heritage.
It's fair to say that not only did you meet the Architectural brief, but you managed to exceed our expectations. The quality of the renovation was first class and most importantly your communication through the build process ensured we were completely comfortable at all times during the build, from contract to completion.
The finished product is fantastic and we are proud to call it our home. We found you and the team professional, efficient, easy to communicate with and able to bring our vision to life. At one point a simple photo of a spotted gum balustrade was all that was required for your team to work out a solution to create a particular look for us. That balustrade is one of our favourite features of our home!
The DFC team working on our residence were always friendly and produced top quality work. We loved our regular site meetings to check out the progress and were always impressed at the amount of work that had been completed since our last visit, in fact we were able to shave weeks of the contracted time schedule even with multiple changes that we requested along the way. Subsequently we were able to move in just before Christmas 2017 which saved us thousands in rent!
We loved having our first Christmas in our refurbished home and would recommend DFC to anyone without hesitation. Our house is now our forever home that we are extremely proud of.
