Thank you so much to everyone at the Queanbeyan District Hospital. The professional health care that my 7yo Son received at the Queanbeyan District Hospital would have to be second to none. From arrival to the ED and Triage, to the consultations with 2 Doctors, 2 Nurses, Imaging, and then on to the rehab management provided by two amazing Physiotherapists - Claire and Emily. From start to finish, which lasted for 8 weeks, every staff member of the Hospital and Health Service provided exceptional care, displaying compassion, kindness, respect and professionalism. My Son has subsequently fully recovered from his broken ankle - which i can only attribute to the truly professional service provided by the amazing people at the Queanbeyan District Hospital. The Dental, Oral Health at Queanbeyan Hospital are just brilliant. The dental manager there is extremely professional & knowledgeable. The dental nursing staff were so compassionate & supportive through the whole process of my tooth being removed.

I have lived in Queanbeyan for 15yrs and that has always been the best dental service in town!

I was in the hospital from early Tuesday morning to mid morning today (Thursday) and I have never had a more incredible experience being in a hospital. From the girls in the ambo picking me up at 2:30am to all the night and day doctors and nurses, the kind and compassionate souls I met made my time their so so much easier. I wish I could have thanked all of them individually before I was discharged. I was seen immediately and was constantly checked up on, they made sure not only me but my family were comfortable as well. It was overall such a good experience to a very overwhelming couple of days.

My partner Geoff Limmer was palliative when he came into this hospital.He was too ill to come home to Melbourne. His last days were professionally, sympathetically and beautifully cared for principally by Dr Anthony Stevens. The staff delivering the food and cleaning the rooms were also very caring. Thank you and I am very grateful to you all for making a distressing time so much easier.

I’ve had to attend Queanbeyan Hospital a few times now and I’m blown away by how wonderful my experiences have been. Each time I’ve come, I haven’t had to wait any more than a few minutes before I’ve been seen by a doctor. The staff are efficient and very helpful. The doctors and nurses are caring, compassionate and take your concerns seriously. They take their time to listen to you and I have always been treated with dignity and respect. I have had a few bad experiences at the hospitals in Canberra so it’s nice to go to Queanbeyan and receive 5 star care.

I recently had day surgery at Queanbeyan District Hospital and everyone I dealt with from the triage nurses in ED, the surgical admissions team, the Dr’s on shift and the pre/post op nurses were so warm, caring and professional. I felt very safe, heard and all my questions were answered with compassion, empathy and without judgement. I am so thankful to all the wonderful staff at Queanbeyan hospital, you made my brief time in hospital a positive experience.

Maternity ward is absolutely incredible, the midwife’s and doctors are all so sweet and genuinely care for patients. I highly recommend birthing here if your exploring options.

I am so happy with this hospital. I've had both my children here and will be having my 3rd here also. The nurses in maternity genuinely care about your health and wellbeing and make you feel very safe. Every single nurse that has taken care of me have been absolutely amazing. I have spent time in Queanbeyan Hospital several times. I have also been seeing the community Nurses generally twice a week for wound management over the past 2 years.
I have found the staff in particular the Nurses to be absolutely fabulous. They are very caring and compassionate. The Nurses go out of their way to make your visit or stay as comfortable as possible despite being over worked.

Absolutely beautiful staff, I had never had surgery before and was very nervous coming for my procedure. The Doctor's, Nurses, Anesthetist (absolute champion) and Staff made me feel so comfortable after and cared for. I can only give 5 stars on here but they deserve 100.

Excellent, efficient, friendly staff for a day procedure for which I was transferred there from Canberra. Couldn't be more pleased I was cared for at Queanbeyan than TCH.

Only been here for a couple of days so far and the staff here are compassionate, caring and really instill a lot of confidence in their decision making skills.

Can't speak highly enough of the dedicated staff going above and beyond on a daily basis. No request is too big or too small for them to carry out the task with complete professionalism.

Had the "privilege" of attending the emergency department of this hospital on Sunday 22nd February 2021. When I arrived there were a few other people waiting. The triage nurse was absolutely brilliant patient, well spoken and efficient. The staff were very professional and thorough. Couldn't be more satisfied with the care I received.

Had a medical issue yesterday 17 May 2023 and presented myself to the emergency ward for assistance. From the time I arrived to discharge my stay was professionally run by the registrars, Doctors, Radiologists, nursing and ward staff. I was told what would happen and it did. I cannot thank everyone involved in my time there and I thank you sincerely, I am still OK (LOL)

I was in the intensive care area and then in the ward for quite a while. The nurses, doctors and facilities were extremely good and my care was exceptional. I have such absolute gratefulness for Queanbeyan Hospital and all its staff.

I have had to come here a few times lately with health issues and am currently in the hospital. I am from Qld and to come to a small rural hospital has opened my eyes ... the staff, drs and nurses are all so unbelievabley caring.. nothing is too hard. I feel very blessed and grateful to all .. Food is also amazing .. definitely no hesitation coming here.

My wife has and i have had our first baby here at queanbeayn hospital and have been here for 4 days and i am overwhelmed with the outstanding service that we have received here. I would recommend this hospital for anyone wanting to have there babies. When we have our next baby we will definitely be coming back.

This is NOT a major hospital, smaller even than Calvary (don't go there, hospital infection is rife & treatment is 2nd class).
But what they do, they do really well. I've got nothing but praise for the nurses, doctors & other staff. I have confidence that they will look after me and send me to TCH if necessary.
Go here or to TCH for ED, NOT Calvary, even if it's closer (I live in Braddon, city side of Haig Park) or if the (wildly inaccurate) ED Waiting Times page says it's not busy.
