So....I trekked all the way out to Para Hills Hot Bread Bakery. The 2hr 45min trip was well worth it !
Got a couple of pies to try out.

Lamb Pie $6.40
Holy sheep 🐑, wow the pie looked decent ! The pastry was perfectly cooked on top, but of flakiness, but not too much. Just enough not to make a mess. Wasn't too crisp, nice soft texture.The underside cooked perfectly.
Biting into the pie reminded me of Nanna's lamb casserole she use to make. Nice tender pieces of lamb, peas and carrot. The flavours were amazing. The sauce to meat ratio was spot on. The sauce/gravy complemented the flavours perfectly, it wasn't killed off with rosemary and wasn't too rich.
Serving temp spot on. Started to get a little messy right at the end, finger licking good and the pie held up, it looked like it wouldn't but it did. It was a really nice tasting pie.

Plain Mince Pie - $5.70
Well the pie felt pretty heavy, and it looked like the biggest plain mince pie i've had ever !
The pastry, slight flakiness on top, had a nice golden look to it, cooked perfectly on-top and the underside was perfect and had that nice soft texture to it.
Now biting into this and after the second bite I knew this was the best plain mince pie I ever had. The meat to gravy ratio was perfect. The mince tasted really nice, no grissle, tasted fresh, the gravy, was superb, not too rich and had slight thick texture to it. Amazing. I'm still in shock how good it was ! The serving temp spot on and the pie held up together fine. I don't score pies at all but if I had to I'd give it a solid 10.

This is a new discovery and I’m not disappointed! The bakery items are so fresh and they have a wide range of different specialty pies. The desserts are really nice and the chocolate donut is really fluffy! I’ll definitely be coming back to this bakery as my new local 💜

Wow one of the best pie fillings I’ve ever had - the pho pie had all the right flavours it even had pieces of the rice noodles too - so so delicious! The beef tendon pie was also spectacular - definitely a reason why this place has won so many awards, their pies are just unmatched!

To be completely honest the place is rather unassuming and wasn't expecting much. But once I got my hands on a sausage roll from here I was absolutely flabbergasted. Possibly the best I've had ever. Pastry food definitely deserves its award! I haven't tried anything else from here other than their hot pastries but I'd be curious to try other things.

Great Customer service! The staff are really friendly.
A very large range of baked goods available, including breads and rolls, hot pastries, cakes and custard & cream varieties. The range of pies is incredibly large! They also have a bags of tomatoes and cucumbers.
I love the standard meat pie and also the sausage rolls. Absolutely delicious!
I recommend you get in early as they tend to sell out quickly.
Plenty of parking with Wheelchair access ♿ and parking available.

Definitely worth a visit pastry is sooo buttery sweet treats are good and Vietnamese food is a bonus if your in the area do yourself a favour

Vietnamese Bakery, offers lots of variety. Traditional bread rolls as well as everything else you can think of, so fresh as items are made in store.
Staff are quick & friendly. Pho & Lobster Pies are a treat! A must try.

Lot's of yummy choices.. Come @ try for yourself.. test if you can stick to your original order... ha!ha!...they have won many bakery rewards....

Underrated bakery in the north of Adelaide, some of the food looks worse than it tastes, prices are better than alot of other bakeries. Keep up the great work.. :)

Finally got to try their pho pie - and it really tastes like pho! Also got a roast pork roll and that was refreshingly very nice compared to some I've had lately (never go to Roll'd) - crunchy Vietnamese bread, tasty filling.

The shopfront is quite small, but there is large range of pies and sweets. The walls are plastered with awards and you'll find out why

Am I eating a pho or a pie?! Sublime combination that settles your cravings of the 2 cuisine! Best of both worlds of East meets West! Trust me 1 is never enough!

Great pies, as a kiwi this is hard to find in Australia. Flakey thick pastry with generous filling. Quite cheap too

What a great bakery. They have fabulous fresh pies etc as well as Bahn Mi. My favourite is their fruit flan.

Ladies friendly.
Food absolutely lovely.
Alot of selection of cakes and hot food.

Always fresh and great choice of pies Always something different to try its hard to walk away with extra.

The Sausage roll is an absolute winner, I also really love the Pho pie

This is a magical place. You need to try one of everything.
