Great spot!
We stayed on Site #3 for 3 nights. Big site, could have easily fit 3 or 4 tents on it! Had it's own picnic bench & seating and firepit.
Ground was pretty flat and no issues getting tent pegs in. The section we had our tent was reasonably shaded, other parts of the site not so much.

Separate car park but it's only metres away so offloading and packing up is easy. 2 long drop toilet options, this site is close enough to one to make late night trips easy but not close enough that there's any issues with smell. Toilet was clean.
2 large skips to dispose of rubbish bags.
We went in summer (January 2023) and battled with bugs/moths swarming the lamps as soon as the sun went down. It made eating at night virtually impossible.
Was also very hot but cooling off in the swimming hole a few times a day helped.
Make sure all food is packed away and no rubbish left out, we had late night visits by kangaroos looking for food.

Two spots for swimming, one straight down behind the site with steps that lead straight in to deep water.
The other is about a 5 minute walk downhill (steepish hill!) to a fantastic swimming hole, almost like a beach. Rope swing was a hit (check water below for fallen logs) with the kids either taking the path around or swimming straight across. Our kids (13 & 11) and adults were having a go on the swing, the kids managed to climb back out fine.
Water is filled with smooth rocks (great for skimming!) but can be hard to see the bottom so water shoes recommended if you want to avoid cuts while wading.

Looking at other sites, #4 is TINY (small tent only) and right next to a toilet. 1 & 2 are large, 5 upwards were more off the road and behind some bush. Further walk to carpark if you have lots to unload.

Great spot if you only have a tent. Nicely spaced sites with a lovely little stream running past. Good. Fishing. Needs to be booked.

Beautiful Forrest, full of many variety of birds and animal life . Short walk to beautifull river. Many varieties of cross country trails to choose from. A place for for the children and adults , Tree Adventures down the road. Great place for canoeing . If you get the chance to visit in off peak periods ...SO PEACEFUL ... you and nature.. Awesome !!!!!

I dont want to give 5 stars or more people will book the site, but in reality it is our favourite spot in the whole reserve.
Only a few spaced out camp sites, toilets dont stink, nice big skip bin nearby and not far from the main Nanga campsite.
Highly do not recommend trying to swim in the river during decent rainfall.

The stairs to the river at night are fun so head torches are a must, but gee who could ask for a better place to spend in perfect nature in Australia.

Beautiful campsite amongst the trees in the edge of the Murray river. 6 private campsites that require booking each site has a fire pit with Billy Hook and hotplate. Toilets and bins available as well as parking for daytime site use.

Stringers is our favourite campsite at lane Poole. 6 sites all with plenty of privacy. Right against the river and every site has their own fire ring. Two long drops cater for only 6 sites. Definitely the best site
