Freshwater Grill at Kempsey Macleay RSL Club

One of the best fish and chips I have ever had! Juicy flathead in a crispy light batter, excellent chips and a nice salad.
Update December 2023: thoroughly disappointed as the fish was tiny inside the batter. Why?! 😭😭😭

Delicious food and very welcoming staff. All the meals were super flavourful and of large portions. Beautiful view of the river from the restaurant too, would definitely recommend

Food and service was exceptional, had our daughters 21st family dinner and service was fantastic as were the meals.

Great for members to order via QR code so as to beat the queue.
Prompt service with meals served together to table.
Slow Cooked lamb roast ith veg and red wine just was excellent.
The creamy garlic prawns had tails left on, which is difficult in a creamy sauce.
The disabled toilet was the furthest up hall, instead of closest. The same went with disabled parking, furthest from front door in underground carpark.

The food was amazing with a beautiful view. The entire experience was only made better with the professional and welcoming staff. They treated you with a wonderful friendly manner as if you are a VIP or regular. I definitely recommend a visit here if your in Kempsey.

We had a family birthday here my father 80th lunch it was lovely.

We came over for dinner, the service was lovely, we were served by a kind woman named Leigh. She was careful and made sure our meals got to us in a timely fashion, she even spoke to my 8 yr old sister to say that she would check to see if her meal was ready. When it was ready she sent out one of the other waitresses out with it.

I enjoyed our time at freshwater grill.

Outstanding food! The best club food I've ever had. The spaghetti with prawns and cream reduction was perfect, my partner's salmon and veg with salsa verde also delicious.
