I will be forever grateful for my birth team - Deb, Dylan and most especially, Bec! She was very reassuring and supportive. I felt like she was a family looking after me. Rose Nicolas at the ward was also exceptional! Me and my baby was well taken care of. The quality of service is outstanding!

The most beautiful birth experience!
After having an almost traumatic 1st birth experience at RPA, the midwives at RNS made my 2nd birth (which was a VBAC) everything I wished for and more. I can not thank our birthing midwife Minh enough for supporting my VBAC water birth and RNS for making the environment and process so seamless and relaxing. Truly grateful and would recommend to anyone birthing to come to RNS!

Best hospital in Sydney. Feels like private . Midwifes and Nurses on top of everything. The care, knowledge, attention and much more. I just had my second baby in RNSH Public on purpose as I had great experience with 1st time, and if I would’ve to choose have 10 kids I would still go here again. Ingrid looked after my 1st baby delivery, and second were Katrina and Deb. Much appreciated every single person in this hospital from reception team till the cleaners. Forgot to mention by the way, hygiene is another level perfect 👍🏼.
P.s. this post is written by Anush Hovhannisyan 😄. Just felt lazy to switch accounts 😁☺.

We recently attended the Birth Centre Royal North Shore for the birth of our child. Staff at the maternity ward ( all midwives) are superb, very experienced, caring and supportive. We were extremely lucky that we received very good care. Thank you very much and you guys are amazing. Keep up the good work.

Given it's position on the lower North Shore, one would expect most people to go to reasonably close private hospitals of Mater and RNS Private. We made the decision to have our child in the public system after speaking to Obstetricians, midwives who have worked with a mixture of the three, and to parents who have had experience with all three. The last parent I spoke with had one child at each and summed up what the professionals had said - best facilities, best accessibility to staff in an emergency - the only two things you miss are a nice meal and a nice bill.

We still went into with medium expectations. But the staff were attentive. The facilities in the birth unit were not only new, but had everything one would want. The midwives are on for 12 hour shifts and really made us feel relaxed and reassured. At the time of the birth, there was two of everyone and a lot of intentional double checking (very impressive).

Our stay in the birth unit was not rushed. Nor was our stay in the ward. Nearly all the rooms are private and quite large (not too different from the private hospital). There are 8 share rooms, but these are typically taken by the youngest and healthiest of mothers, or those who are staying with family.

I spoke with one father whose child was in NICU having been born extremely premature - the family were staying in a double room simply because they were out of town. A very generous and caring thing for the hospital to arrange.

We will choose RNS again without issue.

The actual location is at 1 Westbourne St, St Leonards, NSW 2065, in the Clinical Services Building. I tried to move the location pin but Google did not approve it because it "couldn't be verified". Maybe if more of us tried to change the location, Google will actually approve it.

Btw, fantastic experience so far with RNSH. Couldn't ask for more!
