The Avoca Hotel

Guava beer, raspberry beer, saison with a spot of apricot... and the Eza burger (jalapeño, avo, Swiss cheese etc) was about as perfect a burger as you're likely to find anywhere! Nice one Avoca - keep it up!

Wow, what a different way to eat out.
Congrats on creating a great night out and an experience that will make us return again!
For those who do not know, all the menu items are shared between your group, such as the porterhouse will be served on a plate to share. It's uniquely different, but it works.
The price was right for the food delivered and it's not just the average pub meal, it is very high quality food and the taste blew me away!

Enjoyed the lunch. We bought chicken parmi and kids nugget & chip. The food was amazing. I also tried cocktail, Gin no name. The cocktail was great as well. Totally worth a drive for this wonderful food, drinks and friendliness of owners.

Absolutely amazing share plate menu in the dining room. Duck dumplings, veal meatballs, crab tostidas, seared tuna, venison and chicken.
Delicious desserts and local wines made for a superb evening.

Truely terrific hotel with friendly hard working owners and staff who are passionate about food, wine and beer. The tap beers are thoughtful and enable you to sample some amazing craft brews from around the world. The lunch food was fresh and delicious with a great range of choice. Dishes are suitable for sharing.

On a cold winter’s night what could be better than a delicious hot meal and an open fire? Perhaps a nice glass of something? You’ll find this at the Avoca Hotel. You’ll also be greeted by very friendly staff. Although this is my third visit to Avoca, it’s my first to the hotel but certainly not my last. Great menu choices and an excellent selection of local wines. There was a also an extensive selection of beers and ales.

Great place and atmosphere, food is excellent as is the service and that's what keeps us returning time and time again. The barman adds a lot of character to this establishment.

Fantastic food choices on a very creative menu. The meals were delicious and beautifully presented. They have 10 pages of interesting and unusual beers and 3 pages of guns from around the world. We received a bowl of local olives to start - Moonambel Gap-and lots of great local wines on offer. Great atmosphere and decor. Definitely worth a drive to or a stop over at.

Friendly accommodating service. Meals that are tasty, well presented and definitely great quality. The atmosphere is cosy and relaxed. Just right!

First stop on Saturday for our 30th birthday pub crawl. Ian it was a pleasure meeting you and trying out some great gins. I was blown away by the amount of spirits you had and the knowledge you had on each of them. Have heard great things on your food so will be back soon to try it out. Cheers!

Needs more vegerterian options soup options slap some tofu options in there, less fried food. Good food but just not my style for health benefits for myself fried isnt the best..

A delightful meal with great wines and ideal for our anniversary lunch celebration. Beautiful, slightly seared scallops served with butter, lemon and capers - perfect. The lamb pot pie was delicious with 'just right' pastry and Moroccan spices. My partner's kangaroo (rare) with pan fried gnocchi and beetroot was also spot on. The food offered is a great change from usual pub fare although they do have some 'pub grub' available. Local wines and good service rounded out a wonderful meal. It's great to revisit after a long period of pandemic restrictions. Host is spot on with QR check in and vax certification so a safe and responsible environment to relax and enjoy.
Nov 2023, just made another visit, sharing plates were varied and executed with a great deal of love, consideration and attention. Service was professional and confident. Think the dining room could do with a lick of cream paint to offset the brown and black interior but that's just me.

For a country pub this place has an incredible beer and wine list as well as a refreshing menu. We ate the S+P squid, dumplings, 2 parmies. The dumplings were disappointing but the squid was impeccable! Parmies had a great crumb-to-chicken-to-ham-to-sauce-to-cheese ratio!
The service was spot on too! Worth the trip.

Highly recommend the “Bang Bang Cauliflower” - best popcorn cauliflower I’ve had (and it’s vegetarian, vegan and gluten free so suits everyone!!)
Lovely cozy space too, I look forward to stopping in again in the future
