Excellent display hidden away in Mallacoota. A few stairs for entry and exit, the museum is housed in a bunker, awesome display of history, lovely volunteers running the museum. Video , artifacts, souvenirs, outdoor displays. Well worth a visit!

Very interesting piece of Australian history, including history of the area, fantastic static displays, there is also a video presentation that runs for eighteen minutes.
We only spent one hour here because we arrived one hour before closing time. To have a better experience I think that you would need to spend two to three hours wandering around reading the information boards associated with each display.

Loved learning the history of WW2 surveillance and how the locals were involved. Very interesting displays. Friendly volunteers who related anecdotal tales of living in a remote area in more recent times.

Great spot, just outside town. I love learning about local history, and as I far as I know, this serves as a conduit for the local history of Mallacoota.
Much more than wartime history, and includes a variety of objects and plenty of context, for events as recent to the red skies 2019-20. Well worth a visit, give yourself a good hour to soak it in.

Outstanding history of a little known part of WW2, even better doing some research and finding the other bunker systems out in the bush that are not marked.
