Who would’ve thought there’s so much to learn about poop! Thank you Karin for putting this place together. We enjoyed our visit, and if I do visit again in the future, I’d dedicate more time to go through everything.

I must also say despite the subject matter, the place is kept meticulously clean. The toilet is a must see.

It's surprisingly good. Grandson enjoyed the experience and sharing with us. He really got into it and thinks that he discovered some fun and interesting 🤔 facts. The photos is just a hint of visit.

Really fascinating and unusual place which gave us a great deal of information we didn't know, plus quite a few laughs. The lovely owner was friendly and helpful and I'd have loved to spend longer than the hour we had there.

Great little museum! I saw an ad for the Pooseum on a map of Tasmania attractions while on vacation and shared with family thinking they would find it funny. They did... and wanted to try it. So we drove out from Hobart on a rainy day ... grandpa n grandma, mom n dad, and 3 grandsons aged 10, 8, 6. I was skeptical but we ended up spending almost an hour in this small but engaging, interesting, well done museum!

A interesting and informative display which kept me amused for over an hour. You can stay longer but I was poo out. It was last thing in the afternoon when we visited.

The museum was fun, innovative, and very informative! Karin clearly has a passion for all things poo - and I love that the pooseum didn’t take itself too seriously. The best part were the comissioned pooey art pieces shipped from all over the world - thank you for an educational afternoon!

Great little spot. This suits people who want to get into the details of all types of poo. Found it very informative and you can learn a lot if you choose to spend the time. It’s all contained in 1 room so do not expect that this is a large place to look around. If you like to take your time and learn then this is the place for you.

Loads of information, who knew there was so much to know about poo! Quirky sculptures, interactive displays, and small gift shop with great topical book selection. Whilst a small museum, its large enough for the topic, well presented and conveniently located in the beautiful village of Richmond. Make sure you visit the loo while your there (it’s interesting too). Not particularly suited to children under school age or those who dislike learning something new 😁

A really cute hidden gem in Tasmania. Karin (the curator) is an excellent host, she is informative and attentive and knew all things poo! Really recommend this small cute exhibition if you're after something fun and different.

Our family loved the Pooseum. We found the owner extremely friendly and a wealth of knowledge. We took turns reading the text as a family, enjoyed the hands on aspects and definitely learnt a lot. Definitely worth a visit.

After reading many reviews, I feel it's important to add-
The Pooseum is a museum. Most small children do not thrive in museums and quickly voice their lack of enjoyment. This has absolutely nothing to do with the owner and everything to do with the cognitive development of small children. My daughter is 9 and my son is 13, their attention span is longer and behaviour better; so they found education and enjoyment at the Pooseum.
Also the museum is privately funded. The owner has sourced all resources and information herself. So, no the museum isn't overly large but it is full to the brim with interesting information. The only way small businesses will be sustainable in our current climate is if we spend our time and money visiting them.

For a small museum, it is amazing how much the Pooseum packs in. There really is something for everyone - specimens, facts, videos, fart noise maker at child height, anatomical models at adult height. Karin was a friendly and informative guide. I convinced my husband to go if only for a laugh but it truly was great, with excellent production, world class interpretation, and a range of displays. Must visit when in Richmond.

Very interesting. Lots to read, see and interact with. Could spend hours there learning about different ways animals poop and all things dung related.
