Events on Oxlade

We chose Events on Oxlade for our wedding for the stunning jacaranda (which was flowering!) and outlook to the river. We couldn't of imagined how magical this venue would have made our day. It was truly perfect. The food was amazing and the staff were so welcoming and helpful. We're so thankful that we stumbled across this gem.

We recently had a fabulous ball for SHAKE Dance Schools 25th Anniversary.
We had a band and live entertainment and the venue was absolutely perfect!!!!
Declan & his staff could not have been more accommodating or patient!
Delicious food, well stocked bar and gorgeous surroundings.
We will be back in 2024!

Events on Oxlade is a premium Venue in the Heart of Newfarm. Run by Declan and his team, the venue caters for all manner of Events. We had our wedding there recently and Declan's team looked after us well into the evening with amazing food, bar service and hospitality. The ballroom is large with ample room for 100+ during Covid times. We also utilised the outdoor lawns for our ceremony and evening time, with photography and catering onsite. I don't hesitate offering this venue to anyone looking for the perfect location for a wedding or special event. Call Declan, he looked after us very well. I highly recommend.

Thank you to Declan and all the team at Events on Oxlade for helping us put on an amazing night for our wedding. The ceremony lawn is stunning and inside reception area is perfect for any weather. The staff were polite and helpful, and Declan was always very responsive, gave us honest feedback and practical solutions to all our questions, professional and down to earth. The menu and food was amazing too!!

Stunning venue with clean and ample facilities. Catering was tasty and very good quality - I was very surprised how good the food was. The beef brisket was a particular favourite.

We recently had our wedding at Events on Oxlade, and it was absolutely gorgeous. I can't recommend it enough. Declan and his staff were incredible. Brisbane's best kept secret.

Classical music are the best! I almost fell asleep. Fantastic! It’s really great and so relaxing.🌟😌

Exceptional experience. Only wish when they have future concerts that when they say you must be in your suits by 630pm that they close the doors and stop people trapsing in and out. Distracting for both the performers and audience.

We often provide MC/Coordinator/DJ support to weddings at Events on Oxlade. Working with Declan and his team continues to be seamless, well planned and responsive to the needs of every wedding couple. Attend a lovely wedding here and you couldn't wish for a more lovely location. Venue was fantastic with delightful food and service.

We had an amazing night listing to live music at Events on Oxlade.

My daughter was married here last weekend. What a great venue right on the river. They were very helpful with everything that we asked of them. They have a BYO option which appealed to us. The food was good, if anything, too much. I highly recommend them to anyone looking for a wedding venue.

Wonderful venue. Great staff who know their cocktail mixes. Yummy finger food. We all had a wonderful night.

Although the building is dated, it is very clean and well appointed. But the lawns and view of the river are breathtaking. I have been to hundreds of events with finger food, but this was the first time I had gourmet class finger food. Halfway through the night I had to wave off new treats simply because I was so full - another first for finger food. I attended a wedding, and quite simply it was stunning. The staff were very friendly and professional. I would not hesitate recommening Riverside Receptions for any event where you want to wow your guests. Did I mention the river at night is about as lovely as it gets!

Cannot speak highly enough of Declan and the team at Events on Oxlade. We had our wedding there on the 29th May and everyone was so accomodating and kind. The food was incredible I got so many of our guests telling me how delicious the food was. From the day we enquired about the venue to the wedding day Declan was very helpful with Information and was always available to meet up when need be. The venue was beautiful and once again received much positive feedback from our guests. The wedding setup they did before we added our own decorations was perfect overlooking the Brisbane River. Awesome venue, friendly and professional staff. Great place to have a wedding reception, lots of flexible packages to choose from. Just make sure you get in early as they are booked out fast!
