Popped in today despite our last visit being around 7 years ago and it is still one of the finest wine venues in the country.

The 2012 Shiraz is a creation that doesn't bear description, you need to come here and try it for yourself. The care and commitment to excellence displayed by Lyn and Bob will make you feel like a part of the family and will grow your knowledge of wine immeasurably.

If it is an intimate and enjoyable experience you're after, you can't go past Thumbprint.

We visited here on a long weekend and it wasn't too busy. Lyn was lovely. We all bought home a few bottles of the dessert wines which were so lovely, can't wait to pair them at home with cheese and chocolate!

Mudgee's ultimate gem! This winery is my personal favorite. Their wine is truly exceptional. We couldn't resist taking some of their reds back home, but it's their sparkling wine that is the winner.

Lyn was lovely and very welcoming . We had a beautiful selection of wines to taste and cheese . She was very knowledgeable, lots of fun .. I recommend thumb print wines for a tasting ..

The last stop of the day, and what a stop! I'm so happy we did! You know what they say: never judge a book by its cover. We didn't know what to expect behind the frosted glass doors!
Well, a little treasure of a welcome, simple but heartfelt and warm... And it was fireworks after that... Around 15+ wines to choose from with some unusual grapes we didn't find anywhere else. There's no point for me to tell you which ones, you'll have to go and discover yourself. I'll just tell you one of them is very rare in Australia and you'll have to be quick to snatch it before they run out!
You are sure to find a wine of your liking, in this boutique winery, and maybe more!...

We have visited the mudgee region frequently over the years but only recently did we discover this hidden gem. We were treated to a generous tasting by the owner who has changed the way I now enjoy wine.
He told us we would taste some of the best wine in the region and he was not wrong.
The classic savign, the field white, the sparkling, the cabernet rose, the cabernet sangiovese among others were simply outstanding. The prices are more than fair and will please everyone.

To top it off we then tried a deliciously gourmet platter that cannot be missed.

Thumbprint Wines is highly underrated. They have a huge wine list to satisfy all tastebuds. They have some of the best white grapes in Mudgee and most of their red wines (also delicious) are vegan - a rarity in the area.

Enjoying the extraordinary VS Vermentino and Savagnin 2012 sparkling from Thumbprint with a great cake from Lorraine's Patisserie. Bought this wine after great tasting a couple of months ago. Will definately visit again.

I recommend the 2012 Shiraz and the olive oil (finishing oil, or salad dressing oil, not intended to be used as a cooking oil although I suppose you could if you really wanted to not taste the complexity of flavour!)

First of all, the customer service here is awesome! We got to try all the wines, and lots of information. All the wines are spectacular! Yummy.
