Fung Wah Asian Restaurant

During my recent visit to Urella I had the pleasure of enjoying two dine in meals at Fung Wah restaurant. The food was DELICIOUS! Loved every mouthful of the rainbow beef, beautiful tender beef complimented by a tasty sweet & sour sauce. Definately looking forward to returning with my girlfriend and trying the duck next time.

It has taken us 3 years to try this place as we are picky with food & didn’t enjoy other Chinese we had tried locally. Pub was booked out and it’s a cold Friday night. We ordered 3 mains, fried rice and plain rice and not only was every dish quite tasty, not oily, but the mains had heaps of veggies!!! Veggies are normally nonexistent or sparse in most takeaways these days but our meals were lovely and the most economical meals we have had in Uralla. Will definitely be trying more now! 😋

We thought to give Chinese our last try after a few failures finding a good one traveling in country area. Fortunately we tried. The food was DELICIOUS! Lovely owners offered us their home made fried pumpkin sesame balls for free and were so proud of local sweet pumpkins. Boys wanted to eat there again on our way back home, however it’s a Sunday then so we missed it. Will visit next time in Uralla.

Just ordered the lunch special (sweet and sour pork/ honey chicken) and it was honestly hands down the best Chinese I’ve ever eaten. For $10 the tub was filled with meat, most places give you almost all rice - this is the complete opposite. Way better than any of the Armidale Chinese places - highly recommend.

My family absolutely love this restaurant. Their meals are generous, delicious and reasonably priced. The Staff are lovely, friendly people. I am so glad to have a reliably good chinese restaurant in Uralla.

Wah Asian restaurant in Uralla, 59 Bridge St, is so so to look at But the special menu from china is unreal, they make there own gow gee Pastry from scratch. Master stock pork belly to die, if you haven't got a pallet, you won't understand where we are coming from,. Choose the smaller, Special menu. These places must be patronised, or we will lose them. Delicious.

Delicious food! Best laksa and Mongolian, and the staff are so warm and friendly. Nana is a great hostess and makes dim sims etc from scratch.

Really good food and super friendly staff. I highly recommend this place and I will have dinner here whenever I am in Uralla
