Don't waste you time with this company

I called AusTimbers to ask about their recycled wood. I wish I read these reviews first, because they are dead right! I wanted to know what they had in stock in their recycled wood. I got told “I don’t have time for this!” I should have walked away right then and there.
They tried palming off their old wood on me. Then upping the amount he wanted for it. I didn’t want this wood in the first place. When I politely said no, Paul told me “My advice to you is give up. You’ll never get there.” And then hung up on me.
The nerve of this company to treat customers like this. It’s bad enough they would tell a customer that they don’t have the time to talk. But to dare tell me, to give up, that I will never get there.

I echo the other comments. HOW! Is this company still running. The only thing this company is good at is being rude and unprofessional.

They are so bad - asked them to do a quotation - spoke to three different people - they said no problem will get it done -
Kept chasing it up for days and they kept saying by end of the day - ( Chris I believe one person I spoke too ) then nothing was sent - rang again at 5.30 pm - spoke to Paul one of the managers I believe - he said not doing the quotation we don’t want be rushed

And not to mention they are so rude the way they speak to you

Iam a civil engineer and a builder- this is really low quality of dealing in our construction-

I was trying to get a timber piece for a small project. The staff member I spoke to at the showroom was very rude, and refused to provide any suggestions, neither was he willing to help me to order the timber I need. I was told they only do Australian hard wood, although their website says they have all sorts of timber, local and imported, hard and soft. Don't waste your time with this business.

Was told to bring in a sample of what I needed as it would have to be milled. After a 45 minute drive the boss decides that he doesn't have the time for it so can't help me. Are you serious..!!

Our business made 2 purchases. The first was on Monday 16/7/18. The accounts lady was delightful. She sent an invoice which I paid immediately by eft & the product was released. Two days later on 18/7/18 a different accounts lady took the call. She was rude, refused to let us take the product, demanded immediate payment by credit card which we did. She then refused to let the product go until the card purchase was verified & made us feel like criminals! I asked if there'd been a problem with the earlier payment & she confirmed it had worked well but this was not how they do business! We have been in business since 1997 & have never experienced this rude & obnoxious behavior before, especially since our first dealings were pleasant. I asked for a credit application form for future purchases & was told we were not a big enough customer & hung up on me. She had no idea how big a customer we may be, but all this is now irrelevant as I will not be directing any future business their way. If you're in business & expect to stay in business this is certainly not the way to encourage new customers or keep old customers. I wish I'd read the previous reviews before we went near this business as then I would have been forewarned & would not have gone near as it appears they had similar experiences.

Didnt have a very good experience here. The people never got back to me and were rude, they dont know how to treat customers properly

I recently called up to make an enquiry regarding a timber vanity slab and was met with absolute rude and obnoxious attitude by the guy who answered.
I did not have the exact measurements requires and was seeking assistance with his recommendations but was quickly treated as though I was stupid & uneducated.
I proceeded to ask for an appropriate email address I could forward on some photographs to of the kind of slab I was wanting as a guide to work with but he wasn’t interested & never provided me with one.
Extremely unhappy & I would strongly advise anyone looking to obtain timber, NOT to use this company.

The office stuffs are without any respect to customer . After 3 times telling thank you from us they replied just : "OK" 🙄🙄
