South West Rocks Dive Centre

Honestly one of the best dive experience I've had! The SWR team were all extremely friendly, helpful, and professional. They genuinely wanted all of us to have a good time. Pete did a long briefing to explain every detail of what we'll be doing and what to expect. The dive masters Matt and Albert were hilarious and shared some hectic dive stories while we were on the boat. I went as a group of 6 with my regular diving mates and we'd all highly recommend going with these guys and getting a cheeky merch from the dive shop! Stayed with them for 2 nights in the dive shop accom and some of us did 2 days of diving while some did 1.

The best dive centre I’ve dived with in Australia so far. The crew are so friendly yet professional. Our guide Joe was the best, navigating the current to help us make the most of some of the best dives I’ve ever done. I rarely write reviews but here, I’d recommend them to anyone so definitely go for a dive with these guys. Thanks for all the hammerheads, grey nurses, and the glassiest day out!

Easily the best dive I’ve done in Australia. So much life from the grey nurse sharks and wobegongs to turtles and rays. Whale song so loud it vibrated your chest. Matt was a great guide and made sure everyone got the most from their dives even with different experience levels in the group. The cave was such a unique experience. Will definitely be back.

My recent dive with South West Rocks Diving Center was nothing short of amazing. The professional and super friendly dive instructors made safety their top priority, providing thorough briefings and ensuring top-notch equipment. The dives were stunning; the dive site is the best I've ever experienced. You dive with a small group, and the boat ride of around half an hour is enjoyable as well. I highly recommend this diving center for a safe, enjoyable, and unforgettable dive adventure. I will definitely come back there!

GREAT GREAT GREAT. I came here in November 2021 to do the cave dive and see some Grey Nurse sharks. This is in my top 3 best dives ever. We saw A LOT of sharks, but also a lot of other marine life. We felt safe, the briefing was pertinent and clear and we were a small group of divers with many divemasters. The view of the ''aquarium'' coming out of the cave is just outstanding with all the fishes and the sharks. I recommend +++++. They give a lot of snacks in between dives, which is very appreciated.

10/10 experience! All the skippers and dive masters were awesome and very accommodating to all dive levels. The site was great, saw heaps of sharks and other marine wildlife. Big shout out to Matt for easing my nerves and giving me the best dive experience!

Absolutely brilliant dive: do not skip the fish rock cave dive experience. The grey nurse sharks at the cave entrance - so chill, just cruising between the schools of fish - as you come out of thr dark are just great. The dive centre and crew are super friendly, helpful, knowledgeable and the whole trip went so smoothly (just as we remembered it from 2017 when we did this the first time).

This dive centre has been running for over 40 years and it shows. Friendly, professional and attention to detail, even nitrox is standard without extra charge.

The diving was great albeit a little cold but they give you gloves which you really need, I would recommend bringing your own gloves and hood or buy them in thier very well stocked shop

We stayed in their accommodation which is a 30 second walk from their shop and it was great value for money, spacious and well laid out, a great way to socialize with your fellow divers

Right next to a supermarket it’s ideally located as there is a big kitchen in the accommodation

Lastly about the diving, there is a reason that I chose to dive there, so many dive recommendations from other dive professionals and friends made me check it out and it lived up to expectations especially with our excellent dive guide lily

Great diving!
Did 4 dives over the weekend and can recommend. Fish rock cave is beautiful and due to the confidence you have in the guides and crew, was at ease the whole time in the cave. The finisher with grey nurse sharks, wobbes and fish schools is the cherry. Diving around fish rock was also speccy with some beautiful schools, massive grouper, plenty of rays, eels etc.
The dive crew are extremely professional and have it all under control. Accommodation is clean and tidy. Appreciate having an opportunity to dive with this team. I recommend.

Professional dive centre with good equipment and free nitrox! Staff are very knowledgeable with good sense of humours! Highly recommend diving with these guys if you’re in south west rocks! Fish Rock is an amazing dive site where you will see heaps of sharks. Ocean cave is amazing too

This dive shop is run by the best people. They really put an effort into every little detail of the dive. Always providing nitrox for your comfort and peace of mind regardless of your training. Hot water shower between dives, snacks, coffees and soup. Had an amazing time. They also go out of their way to make sure your dives are what you want them to be.

What an amazing day we had here! Me and some friends did a double dive at fish rock and came up from the water with BIG smiles! The crew was amazing and fun, and we would definitely recommend this trip for all our friends!

Thoroughly impressive experience, from welcoming, equipment preparing, routine nitrox, briefing and knowledge of the area. Was at first nervous with the first cave dive but the instructors were flexible with multiple options and no pressure at all. Did the deep dive and chimney after all, absolutely magical 🤩 great dive site for diversity - turtles, leopard sharks, octopus - just miss out on the nurse sharks so will definitely be back!

The divemasters were clear about expectations, conditions, what we should be doing and gave great detail about how we should swim etc. I felt like I knew exactly what to do and where to go during the dive & the dive itself was beautiful.
They showed the Sydney dive centres up by a mile.

Awesome dive and dive center ! Being an instructor myself, and having dived all over Australia, I can tell you for sure that this is the best service and attitude you will get from dive staff. The instructor Joe was equally as awesome in the water guiding and helping us.

An easy 5 star review here, for both the dive centre and the dive site, Fish Rock.

I did two days with SWR Dive Centre over summer and saw heaps of marine life including the highlight... plenty of sharks (grey nurse, hammerhead, bronze whaler, wobbegong). The dive site includes really interesting features and the cave dive is superb. We were treated to Bryde's whales breaching during a surface interval.

A very well run dive shop. Always felt at ease with the SWR Dive Centre crew. Serious where it matters (safety, thorough dive briefings etc) and a great sense of humor.

Look forward to diving at Fish Rock with SWR Dive Centre again soon 👌
