Grand Hotel and Apartments Townsville

Super service! We arrived late in the evening and Aled gave us a warm welcome and showed that he was prepared for our arrival. My girlfriend and I both work in 5 star hotels and precisely know what good guest service consist of and this was precisely it! In addition, Aled gave us a nice recommendation for breakfast tomorrow morning.
Oh and we love the soap amenities!

The rooms are clean, and are perfect for families. Friendly & helpful service is above and beyond 👏🏽 The pool & gym are sufficient for a 4 star hotel. The only fault with this hotel is the walls are paper-thin! I could hear the neighbours, next door, upstairs, and in the hallway.
Probably wouldn't come back, because I like my sleep too much.
Great walkability to restaurants, bars & there's a Woolworths 10-15 minutes away.

Extremely clean, great location, comfy bed, luxury hamper was lovely - although would have been excellent if a cheese knife, plate etc was supplied.

Big rooms with full size fridge and well equiped kitchen. Looking a bit tired could do with a bit of a spruce up. Good location. Shower over bath a bit of an issue as a bit high to step into.

Amazing place really nice people rooms are great decently recommend also it is a lot of money but worth it and free moives and amazing g views

We had a great stay at the Grand Hotel. The room was spacious, clean, well designed and quiet. Tash on the front desk was superb in her service. The on-site pool was a great addition. Highly recommend staying there.

I can’t find a fault in this place. Great views of Castle Hill from our room. We went with the “Eco stay” which meant no servicing while we were there but the cleaners still came in and made the beds/vacuumed the floor which we were extremely grateful for! Foyer staff were exceptionally friendly and our 2 year old loved the pool.

We were staying in Townsville prior to heading over to Magnetic Island and the Grand Hotel and Apartments were perfect for us. We walked in and were greeted with smiles and the staff were really friendly and helpful. They have secure parking too which is great. The superior room had everything we needed including a sofa bed that our 2 year old slept on and it was spacious. Also has a good balcony. At one point we had a question about the washer/dryer and the staff came straight up to help. The hotel is very central and only 1km fro. The ferry. There are plenty of restaurants downstairs too. Would highly recommend for people coming to Townsville. We even got to see the sunrise!

Staff were efficient, friendly and hospitable. Location within easy walking distance of centre of city and city bus hub. We have had a wonderful stay with staff going out of their way to accommodate our request for extension of our booking (beware if flying with Jetstar - our direct flight back from Townsville to Melbourne was changed to indirect flights with transit via Brisbane. It resulted in a travel/transit time of approximately 16 hours and the need to retrieve and transfer our own bags between flights)

Comfortable, quiet and convenient. I stayed with my eight week old in a standard room. There was plenty of space for the bassinet and to move around. Couldn't hear the neighbours and hope they didn't hear us! Reception staff were helpful and friendly every time. Wouldn't hesitate to stay there again.

Excellent service at the Grand Hotel. The staff are just lovely. Spacious room and very peaceful despite being close to the pub and a main road. We stayed here to watch the footy and it was a short, pleasant walk to the stadium. Would highly recommend and will be coming back for sure. Thank-you!

Had a great stay. The only 2 complaints would be the fire alarms going off in middle of the night twice while we were there. May need to get that fixed as they were always a technical problem 😅 also car parking. Street paking if not lucky enough to get inside, even the $20 per day undercover carpark was hit an miss if you weren't there when there was one available. Also, a bit rich charging.

Great place. We booked an apartment for several days. Very comfy and had everything we needed. Lovely surprise to find the windscreen on our car had been thoroughly cleaned. It's the little things. Staff are super friendly and professional. Definitely recommend. 👌👌

This hotel was terrific and inn a central location. The room was large and very clean with a spacious bathroom. The staff was helpful and very friendly. An excellent value for the money.

Staying at The Grand Hotel is like coming home to your favourite book, glass of wine or box of chocolates. The staff are warm, welcoming and always helpful. Our last time there was after a very, very long day of delayed travel and no taxis or uber available at Townsville airport.

It was almost midnight when we finally arrived and it was just wonderful to be greeted by Steven with a smile, paperwork all ready, just a signature needed and off to a quiet, lovely room. Bliss!

Booked an apartment at the last minute. Lorraine was incredibly helpful and went out of her way to find us the perfect place to stay. The location, staff and amenities were exactly what we were looking for. We will be returning for the fantastic customer service.

Great place to stay, excellent service, very clean and nice rooms. They take good care of you! Went with my family and they helped us a lot. Staff are very knowledgeable and give you great tips on where to go and what to do. Location is good for restaurants, the strand and ferry port. Was really good. Will stay again!

Spacious room with modern decor and great amenities. The location was top as it is right in the centre of everything - plenty of eateries right outside the hotel. Staff were friendly. We would certainly stay here again on our next visit to Townsville. Great value. Highly recommend it.

Absolutely fantastic 👏 got a surprise upgrade for my birthday to apartment room with yummy fudge in the fridge. Super comfy bed, great shower, self contained everything we needed. Also great location . Thankyou so much 💖

Great value for money. On check-in notified by staff that I was VIP of the day and received free undercover lock up parking and my own reserved space as well as a late check out both of which were gratefully received.
The apartments are well appointed and clean and the bed very comfortable. There is also a pillow menu if required. Location is an easy walk to the city and the stand and there are many places to dine close by. Will stay again .
