This was where a man Ralph Dodge had a ferry that ran across to Hobart transporting settlers from Sandy point to Hobart town.

Great spot to stop and have a walk along the beach or go for a swim.

The plaque is at the end of Jetty Road, the foundations for the jetty are still visible in the rock though the jetty is long gone. The original farmhouse is nearby , although renovated and with additions.
