Amigo Mexican Restaurant

We have been here many many times and have held parties with 25-40 people. The waitstaff are wonderful, food is incredibly generous and very consistent. The owner is very hard working and his head waitress makes a delicious latte. Benny is so nice and patient with us. Usually, we are at Amigos weekly. Thank you!

I was looking forward to Mexican and went to the other Mexican place in town only to be served by a male who yawned soooo loud that you could see the fillings at the back of his mouth, it was so gross I walked out!
Still on a mission to eat Mexican food I was blessed to dine at Amigo Mexican Restaurant!
I was greeted by Kez who was friendly, courteous and an amazing host and the food was absolutely scrumptious 🤤

Had a B'day party there with 22 people. Upon arrival staff would greet you with a smile, set you up at a table and start taking orders for drinks then meals.
While taking orders staff were helpful, during meal service, the staff were a little bit scarce, but as to be expected with a large group. After meals were served, staff were often unseen again for any requests for follow-up drink orders.
From all accounts the Steaks were cooked perfectly & were extremely delicious although the sauce was a let down & the Burritos all came back to another high point.
No Ciders.
All Spirits are served via a 30ml shot in a glass and with your selected pre-mix, No cans or stubbies.
Beers do come in a stubby.
The Fish Bowl Margareitas were also a bit of a let down, they were priced accordingly but lacking in alcohol.
To the final process of the night, the Bill.
This was an extremely slow process with a group, each order needed to be added into the system individually from a notepad, finding every meal name & any additions on the menu. So of course with 22 people the time it took to depart was almost 1hr.
I think the management need to consider pdt notebooks or pda's for staff to take orders on to reduce the waiting time to finalise the bill.

My partner and I haven't been before, we went there as a joke because of the owners comments on bad reviews and thought they were very funny,

Turned out to be one of thr beast meals we had in a while, the steak was cooked to perfection, will be comming back soon!

We had such a great time at Amigo. Very friendly, attentive staff and delicious food beautifully presented. Really colourful, fun atmosphere suitable for singles, couples or groups. Will definitely be going back! Thoroughly recommend it. Great value for money.

My husband and I went for dinner and we were seated on the patio. A large group of rather loud young men were seated next to us and were standing around the patio heater, blocking it, so the staff moved us inside where we enjoyed the rest of our meal. The food was delicious. The margarita I had was wonderful. We will definitely be going back! Super service!

Absolutely amazing. There were 20 of us and not one of us were disappointed with our food. In fact we have all said we would love to come back. The cocktails were amazing and a great price. Overall, just a great place...I am unsure where the bad reviews come from as we all could not fault the place. Will definitely be returning to Amigos in the near future.

Had a lovely dinner with family yesterday...the food , cocktails atmosphere is really good ...
The owner/chef was so helpful with the meal size and portions..
Came twice to our table to double check everything was good even though the restaurant was busy ....

Absolutely love this restaurant. Been here many time with my partner, family and friends. The steaks are unbelievable! Beat steak I've had since being in Gippsland, the serving sizes are great and friendly staff. Love the atmosphere of the place too!

Phenomenal food served with a smile - ambrosia! Atmosphere is distinctive and delightful with a play area for the kids. Very accomodating and hasn’t disappointed every time we go.

The staff at the counter are lovely and friendly, the food was very nice, will definitely go back

The food was delicious and serving sizes great. We visited as a couple but would be great for kids (there is a play area) or group get together. Good range of drinks and mocktails as well. Staff were friendly including one of the ladies from the kitchen who delivered the entree.

Please don’t put much faith in a lot of the negative “reviews” left by others about the food here... I’m not sure many of the people leaving them actually have ever seen authentic Mexican food before. This isn’t a “Chipotle”/Zambreros chain burrito place. We will visit again.

Haven't been there for quite a few years but decided to take a drive as it was always a favorite.
No problems at all, we were seated straight away and the food tasted great and seemed fresh. Service was quite quick, we were in and out in under 50 mins including entree.
