Dumpling Plaza Chinese Restaurant

I just had a vegetarian fried rice and lemon chicken from here and it was perfect. I loved that the chicken was in smaller pieces and the lemon sauce came separately to add. And rice was perfectly cooked. Loved it. So fresh.

I don’t normally review restaurants but we really loved the food here and the great service. We had honey chicken, satay chicken, dumplings and steamed rice. Dumplings were freshly made to order. Food was tasty, hot and quick. Service was excellent.

The waitress was full of life and ever so helpful really made it an experience more than just a dinner will be back for the service and the food!

Who knew we had to travel all the way to Wonthagi to savour this exceptional rendition made fresh by an all-Chinese crew in an open kitchen.

Available steamed or fried, our choice of chicken and prawn dumplings came the last of 3 dishes but proved the overwhelming best. Succulent fresh prawn and juicy chicken mince swimming in hot broth and wrapped in thin skin. Served bottom-up with a skilful char and flour webbing that makes this a delight to the eyes and tastebuds. A dozen of these bad boys for $15.

Well worth the drive from Philly out through Kilcunda. Tackle with care and discover bliss with each bite. We did, and can’t wait to return for more!

Most authentic Chinese restaurant in Gippsland region. The dishes taste like what we have in China. Staff are friendly and inside the kitchen is very clean.

Delivered to our door after our first day of moving to Wonthaggi. Mongolian beef, steamed rice and a banana fritter. Fantastic. Based on this first experience this will become a favourite. Great friendly service too. 👍😃

A lovely little restaurant. Very busy for a Saturday night but cannot fault the service. Food came out quickly and was delicious. Lemon chicken, black bean beef, Singapore noodles all superb and deep fried calamari melts in your mouth. Servers were both great and friendly.

Beautiful food, very reasonably priced (drinks as well!) and the service was excellent. Meals were out quickly and everyone was very positive. We had the honey chicken, fried pork dumplings and special fried rice. If anything, the dumplings weren't as crispy as I would usually like, but that's being very picky! Would definitely recommend.

I've been going to Dumpling Plaza for years and it has never failed to impressed.

Strongly recommend the satay skewers.

We are regulars and we always order the same thing... Pan-fried dumplings, 2 pork buns and the home made dim sims and a pot of their tea and each of these is consistently delicious. This place is an absolute treasure. We love going there, especially on a winter's day. Highly recommended!

By far the best dumplings in town. The seafood Nasi Goreng is the best I’ve ever had AND the prawn spring rolls, WOW! It is good! Well priced food and lovely staff. Eat in or take away. They are alway super quick with orders too, usually under 15 minutes from ordering take away. 10/10! A big YUM from me.

Fantastic experience!
Ordered the Thai Green Curry chicken, Honey chicken, vegetarian curry samosas, steamed dim Sims and the special fried rice for home delivery. Very fast delivery, Arrived within 25 minutes! Extremely fresh and full of flavour. Will definitely be ordering again soon 🙂

Amazing food! We just happened to walk past last night and i'm so glad we found this place. I never imagined having such good chinese food in Wonthaggi but i was blown away! The food came out super fast and the service was great! I'll definitely be back again that's for sure :)

A simply delightful place to indulge in some authentic asian food. The staff are extremely lovely, beautiful and so is the venue itself. The service is second to none. A very clean, spacious and modern looking restaurant. The food comes out super quick even though there are plenty of patrons both dining in and ordering take away.
The food may or may not be instagram worthy, but it all tastes amazing and comes out of the very clean open kitchen super hot. It is all very reasonably priced and there is plenty of chilled water to drink, free of charge.
The best garlic prawn special fried rice I have ever tasted. You can bring your own wine or choose from the many drinks they have on offer.

This restaurant is the best thing that has ever happened to Wonthaggi. This will be my go to from now on when I am in town. Thankyou :)
