It's a good place. There was a boat tying jetty near the mill. Not sure if there is any road available that leads to the front of the mill. But definitely can visit by boat or swim to the opposite side to reach the mill. It was a really nice place with water from three sides. We were able to walk in water till a few distances since now it was not so deep. Overall experience good

Great stop off Cooloenup Island when doing the lunch cruise on Mandurah Cruises around the river. Wonderful history of old mill and meeting Mollie the Island's caretaker dog. Excellent lunch on this cruise and a great way to spent 4 hours cruising the water ways.

Such a hidden gem 💎 tucked away on a remote island only known by me through the mandurah lunch cruise.
So much history in Western Australia that there to tap.
Fully recommend a visit.

There’s a little museum inside this 178yr old Mill built by the Coopers family in 1843. Amazing piece of history almost in the middle of nowhere, a mill stands. Passed by in the past paddling the serpentine/Murray. First time inside. Excited. (9/1/20)

Restored wind-driven mill on Culeenup Island within the Murray river Delta, only accessible by boat. Great bit of history. Thanks to the council for looking after it and providing picnic area and toilets. Mosquitos and sand flies maybe a problem at times.

Great piece of history and a nice spot to stop off at on the river cruise we went on. I had never heard of it before.

Lovely spot to drop in and check out. Playground for the kids and BBQs also. ablution blocks are also lovely and clean. In the afternoons kangaroos and bandicoots come out for a feed. There is a jetty there to tie up your boat and spend the night if you choose to also. And the night lights from town can be seen from the jetty which makes it an amazing view.

Great little place for a swim and walk around with kids. It does get a bit full on with boat traffic on nice days and public holidays. Only thing is watch out for the meatheads who don't know what 5 knots is.

Beautiful spot. Stayed for the night, lovely and quiet. Caretaker warm and welcoming, and we loved the company of his dog Maggie.

Lovely view of the old flour mill, but not a great way to get to the estuary! Too shallow.
