Went for a summer festival. These grounds are long standing. Some of the buildings are relics, some are monuments to time gone by. The old toilet blocks are clean, tidy and with upgraded cisterns etc. but they might have upgraded the insulation as well - it was a good 7 or 8 degrees hotter inside AT NIGHT. Still, it was worth the added hygiene compared to a porta-loo.

Went to the caravan and camping show.
Tickets were $14, including the hours each way on the train. Then to top that off, a shuttle bus dropped us off at the door, same for the way back

I attended the 2023 flavour of Knotfest, a metal music festival organised by the band Slipknot.
Despite there being lots of people there, I got inside easily thanks to paying a bit more for VIP tickets. If you have that option, it’s worth the extra money.
The festival was organised very well, with lots of interesting food options, plentiful hydration stations and ample toilet facilities. There was also a large number of medical personnel and chill out zones for those who went too hard too fast.
The sound was excellent and there was plenty of room for the 2 large stages. The grandstands are always a bonus for when the arena gets packed late in the afternoon.
There were plenty of cheaply priced parking options nearby and lots of hotels if you want to stay overnight.
This was an excellent venue for a music festival.

Had a great time, ample facilities for staying hydrated and restrooms. The staff were great considering the size of the event that was on (good things festival around 20,000 people) had a blast and definitely will be returning. Good advice is to Checkout a map of your event before you attend and know where your entry gates are to save a big walk.

Wonderful experience. So much to see. And do. Worth every penny and time spent. Fireworks are magnificent. Lot to learn. Lot to watch. Good food. Agricultural section offers a lot of educational benefits, and Careers information. Aquarium is so colourful. Animals are in wide variety, specially the cows and poultry. Overall, a well spent day. So happy that i went there.

Great day out with family.
This has become a family tradition for more than 40 years now.
Things are a lot classier now and the food and entertainment are a 100 times better.
Also the ring events are so much more professional and the fireworks outstanding.
The only drawback is the crazy prices on the "sample" bags and some of the foods.
Overall a great family day out.

Went for the Ekka 2023, large crowds great atmosphere and brilliant entertainment. Something for everyone regardless of age. Some stalls were very expensive especially if you have a large family (understand that is vendor not RNA). Fireworks show was spectacular and very entertaining. Well done BCC & RNA.

Had a awesome experience here for knotfest 2023, obviously a credit to the event organisers, but proved with proper planning this venue can cater to over 25000 people cleanly and comfortably with ample seating, toilets, water and entry/exit points.

The Brisbane Showgrounds is the perfect location for The Ekka! It is in the heart of Brisbane City, you can either drive or catch public transport.. the train stops right in the middle of it all. Tickets aren't too expensive for what you get. There's so many shows, rides, games, food and so much to look at. The rides and games are a bit expensive though. The night time entertainment is fantastic too. It does get very busy though.

We attended the RnB Fridays festival at the RNA Showgrounds. They really ran a seamless event, there was ample toilets this year unlike other years. The drink lines were fast and efficient. They had a substantial amount of food trucks with many types of food to choose from. We had a great time.

Massive place. With a lot of history,
4x4 show, was wicked, ordered a canopy.and saved hundreds .
Always get early for a great car park

Attended the Good Things Festival. Very well run, from entry through to close. Food areas spread around the grounds among shaded areas. Water stations well situated.

Ahh..i haven't been to the Brisbane ekka for ages.. even before covid,
My partner and i loved it
The Strawberry Sundaes, the Dagwood Dog the Prize winning animals, to the enormous Camel, the show bags, the rides, the pushy man selling the Fireman calender(give him another job)
We had a good day..
The only complaint was..the Green program they were giving out didn't have the Arena events on them.. had to find information tent which is disastrous if you go the wrong way because theres a million people to get through if you get lost..
Otherwise worth going..
Admission should be cheaper.
