Itara Apartments

I highly recommend Jacana Apartments in Townsville. We stayed there as a family for 2 weeks. The rooms are beautiful, spacious and have everything you need. The surroundings are gorgeous. And the staff were super friendly and kind.

Staying here has been an absolute 'must' on our fambam's bucket list from all the way back to when these properties were still getting built!! Knowing that the complete waterfront location right on the riverbed, these apartments are smack-bang perfectly centred in the heart of the Riverway Tourist Precinct.
Prime position nestled right on the river bank overlooking the daily 'on the water' activities from locals and tourists alike. With Riverway swimming pool and sports oval facilities next door with community library and tourism hub. Topped off with Cafe takeaway and barrister. Why would you want to go anywhere else!

I stayed here for a business trip and was blown away by how spotlessly clean, spacious and well equipped this place was. The one bedroom apartment comes with a huge fridge, new dishwasher, plenty of cutlery/crockery and a separate study. Perfect location on the river front with amazing views and a large shopping centre near by. Super friendly and accommodating reception staff too.

Very nice one bedroom apartment.Flight arrived late,got a message for the security code to the building and the key...very easy access. Nice views of the river and 4 minute walk to Willows Shopping Centre.Definately need a car if you are on holiday...

Well appointed and friendly. Nice and clean. Well equipped with full sized fridge, oven washing machine etc. Comfortable beds and seating. The balconies overlook the river and the riverway walk which is a credit to Townsville. The rooms are well soundproofed with air con and overhead fans. Secure undercover parking. Walking distance to shops, fast food and public transport. Free public pools a short walk along the riverway walk.

In the area of Thuringowa. Just out of Townsville. Is this beautiful place where Itara & Jacana Apartments are. In walking distance to the Lagoon Pools & these pools are beautiful with an infinity pool. A board walk right around Ross River so take your time and enjoy the scenery. The apartments themselves are clean and comfortable with great views and very polite and helpful staff. Plus Willows Shopping center is a walk away with buses running all the time so why not hop
on and get a all day pass go into city of Townsville and enjoy the Strand or visit a museum. After a full day just relax in your apartment.

The apartments are large , they smell nice and are very clean.
They are located in beautiful surroundings with the park and walkways right at your front door.
Fantastic views of the river from the balcony where you can sit and enjoy a cuppa in the peaceful surroundings.
Walk along the pathway and there is the riverway public pool where you can go for a swim on a hot day.
Staff were very helpful and polite when booking in.
I would stay here again in this relaxing environment

We had a great week long stay over Christmas. The quality, cleanliness and modern feel of our apartment was fantastic. The two underground secure parking spaces was a huge bonus. The location and view were amazing too. We hope we get to stay here again.

Theses apartments are in the right spot. Close by to Willows shopping center ( walking distance) public pools ( and very nice it is) with an infinity pool. Great play area for children. Ross River is right in front of you with a tremendous walk right around Ross River. You even come to another town & shopping area & cafe’s, pubs in Riverview. Itara & Jacana Apartments have their own pool also. The grounds are beautiful, the apartments are very clean and the staff I found very pleasant. A big thank you to Paige that works in the office who went above & beyond in helping us out with car rentals in Townsville QLD. Thank you Paige 🙂• I recommend Itara Apartments.

We have stayed here on many occasions, we absolutely love it! Everything you need is located close by and suitable for families. The staff are very friendly and go above and beyond to accommodate your needs. I Highly recommend!

stayed for ten nights as part of a sporting group. We had a two bedroom unit with two bathroom and laundry, all excellent. Large lounge and fully equipped kitchen. (minor thing the frypan was a bit small when cooking for three). Ample storage and wardrobe space and the best bed ever in a hotel. Staff friendly and helpful! Shops a short walk away. All of our group loved the accommodation.

The Itara & Jacana is a very nice quiet little Apartment complex located by Ross River in Townsville. The Willows shopping centre is only 2 minutes away. The Apartment in Jacana complex I stayed in was fully self-contained and equipped with everything I needed. It was clean, safe and well maintained, and it was serviced on a weekly basis. The bed was good and comfortable, and the bathroom was nice and clean. The view from the kitchen window and balcony was just beautiful and tranquil. Thank you to the staff for making my stay here enjoyable.

Amazing spot and great rooms. We have stayed multiple times over the years and keep coming back. The staff are always very accommodating, the rooms are immaculately clean and spacious and the view is gorgeous. It's also a great spot near willows and camnon Park food precint/cinema. While furniture is slightly dated, it's still nice and cosy

While pricey, the units are well maintained and worth it for the beautiful view of the river you get from the windows and balcony. I love that they are fully self contained with a/c to the whole apartment with gated access to clients and residents. With access to a public pool, scenic walks and a local svopping centre a short walk away these apartments are recommended as a 7/10.

Jacana Apartments are the place to stay in Townsville! Close to Willows Shopping centre, the pool and right on the Riverway. We couldn't have been happier with our choice to stay there recently. The room was spacious, modern and clean and the balcony overlooking the river was a beautiful spot for our morning coffee. We will be back!

The apartment is large and spacious. The view is awesome. The room is fully self contained with the added bonus of a dishwasher! Love it. We will definitely be back.

We recently travelled to Townsville with a large group of kids to play basketball. This accommodation was perfect. I felt safe and we had everything we needed. The location is great too.

I recently stayed at Itara Apartments for 3 weeks on a work trip. From start to finish my experience here was AMAZING! The staff at reception are so lovely, and were able to help with any questions I had throughout my stay. The cleaning staff did an excellent job and always left my room fresh and spotless. The management team are exceptional, and went above and beyond to make this trip work well for myself and my company. They were very accommodating, and this was an excellent location for a business trip. These are genuinely good people who really care about their customers!

The location of the apartments is superb. They are right on the riverfront, with stunning views from the balconies. There is a great circuit walk around the river right out the front of the building that I enjoyed on many afternoons. They are a short 2 minute drive from a large shopping centre (Willows), and from MANY different restaurants. It is also easy to drive to other areas of Townsville from this location.

The facilities at the apartments are great, and they really have everything you need. My room was very spacious, with a large lounge / dining area and a great bedroom. There was also an extra study room with a desk. The bathroom was excellent, and had a dryer and washing machine as well. The kitchen was large and fully stocked with all the cooking utensils I needed. They also have a great pool, and I was the only one using it each time! The carpark is securely locked, and they also have plenty of public parking out the front as well if people are visiting you.

Overall I would recommend staying at Itara Apartments to anyone travelling to Townsville. My stay was exceptional, and I will definitely be returning on future trips.
