Elabana Falls is a picturesque destination in Lamington National Park, perfect for nature lovers and hikers. The hike to the falls is moderately challenging, with the track being muddy and slippery throughout, so proper footwear is essential. There is ample parking and toilets available, and you can enjoy lunch at O'Reilly's nearby. Swimming is not allowed in the falls, and you’ll need to climb to fully view them, so be cautious as it can be quite slippery. Despite the challenges, the stunning waterfall makes it a must-visit spot

A relatively easy track that is half a pathway and half gravel/mud. Be warned, your shoes will get very muddy if it’s been rainy leading up to your hike! The falls are incredible and well worth it though.

Beautiful walk under the canopy. Bring good shoes as the rocks can be slippery and we also came across snakes. Birds fly out and settle on your head, wanting food.
The fall itself feels like something from the Jurassic.

Just beautiful after some rain. Easily worth the walk down. Highly recommended.

1.5 hour walk into the woods, the trail is easy and very shady. Don't foul by a place called Picnic Point and just stop there, the amazing view is about ten minutes walk further on the right when you are facing the waterfalls.

Worth the hike ! 2 hours round trip, but expect to stick around at the falls, because they are magnificent.
Take your time, look for the ancient arctic beech trees, dingo footprints, bower birds parrots and lyre birds. Take a stop at picnic falls, a very nice 3/4 mark on the trail to the falls. It’s mostly down hill so expect an up hill return

One of the smallest but easier to get close Waterfall. Best to reach when there were no rains for few weeks. Plenty of photo opportunities.
Get here following West Canungra Creek Circuit from O'Reilly. The total length of the trek is about 14 Kilometers.
Some cliff edge walking paths so take extra precautions.

Wonderful easy walk through timeless rainforest to Picnic Rock and then Elabana Falls. Recent rain ensured the falls were at their best. Allow about 3 hours for the 9km return trip. Highly recommended.

Amazing walk with a breathtaking waterfall. Park at O'Reilly and make your way down to the border track. Keep following till you reach the box forest track. The entrance can be a bit tricky to find, the best advice I can give is that if you start walking along the road from the carpark it starts at a pathway to the left on the opposite side from the large plane.

My favourite falls yet in Southeast Queensland. So pretty. Didn't sight any of the spiny cray but I've heard they're very cool and worth a search! The hike to the falls is pretty easy, but to get to the best view point there is a small rock scramble at the end that's a little tricky especially after rain.

Beautiful hike! Would suggest you dress warm as it is a cooler climate than the rest of Brisbane.

Easy walk, good spot for a picnic at the base of the falls. Definitely recommend for either when it’s raining or right after it!

Great walk! Elabana falls are in O'Reilly where you can see also others falls! From the start point is like 50 minutes (it boils down to your steps xD) and the walk is not hard.
I recommend swimming there if you like cold water!

Head to the information office when you arrive at the carpark for great advice on trails if you're unfamiliar. The trail to Elabana is pretty easy and stunning on a sunny day. There is plenty of wildlife to encounter (including these friendly King Parrots) and enormous old trees to capture your imagination. The falls are lovely but not for swimming to protect the eco system from harmful products peoples wear cosmetically. Definitely allow a good day to venture here!

Great walk and cold mountain falls to awake the soul. Don't turn off border track too soon or you are on the big loop. Unless that is what you intended.
