An awesome experience.

My partner and I knew very little about tea and thought we'd try a guided tea tasting for something new and fun to do. It was a great time, I couldn't recommend this highly enough.

Matt knew so much about tea. The history, stories about it and you could tell he was excited to share everything with you.

I'd recommend this to anyone who has a curious mind and enjoys tea (even if you just have a cup of English breakfast with breakie)

I highly recommend Tea Angle! This charming small business is clearly founded on a true passion, knowledge, and love for the art of tea. Unlike other tea shops, their products are free from cheap leaves or flavourings - it's all incredibly authentic and meticulously selected for quality. (They even have a Youtube vlog demonstrating how they carefully selecting tea from specific regions in China each year!)
Considering the effort put into sourcing leaves and the unmatched quality, they are really quite great value for money. Every tea I've purchased from them has been an experience in itself, and I love that they have a blog to educate people about tea. (I didn't even realise I was brewing tea wrong all this time!!)
I have visited the store AND bought online through their website (due to COVID) - I was amazed that the delivery was super quick and included a little personal note. I also got a great tea crockery set which is absolutely adorable.
I can't recommend them enough!

One of the best places in Sydney for tea, including tea education. I always enjoy sitting down and sampling some of their teas with them to see what I like. They often travel to China to source their teas directly from producers, so have a wealth of knowledge about every aspect (farming, processing, etc.) They have solid range and are updating their stock frequently. A must-visit for any Sydney tea enthusiast or those just curious to try some authentic Chinese teas.

Went for the tea tasting & really enjoyed the whole experience. Matt’s knowledge & passion really come through when he’s describing all the teas. Also not the slightest hint of a sell during the session. Really interesting teas you might struggle to find elsewhere. Well worth the price for the tasting & there is a maximum of 6 people per session.

Bought some tea to take home & will be coming back for more.

The perfect way to spend an afternoon with some friends. Been looking so long for a kung fu style tea room. The wonderful couple who run it were knowledgeable and answered all my questions about tea. Highly recommend!

I cannot rate Tea Angle highly enough!

Very high quality tea, a beautiful tea studio with a very relaxing vibe, and Excellent, friendly, knowledgeable service.

I had a guided tasting session with Matt and really loved spending a couple of hours sitting, talking tea, and trying a variety of different types gong fu cha style.

I bought some incredible honey orchid dan cong phoenix oolong as well as some shu puerh, and red tea.

If you're looking for high quality, authentic, chinese tea in Australia I recommend Tea Angle as your first stop.

I visited their stand at the Sydney Tea Festival and was impressed, so I was pretty happy to hear they’d opened a store when I got invited to a private tasting for a tea drinking group I’m in. I learned a lot about chinese tea and brewing methods and tasted some tea that wasn’t what I expected.
Primarily they sell Tea but also sell lovely tea sets too. They’re very passionate and knowledgeable about their products.

We had a fantastic tea tasting session with Matt. Great teas, customer service and all-round experience. I took a couple of friends and we had an enjoyable mix of chatting amongst ourselves and with Matt. The tastings are a great deal for the price and a solid way to spend a weekend morning or afternoon. I'll definitely be back. I would happily recommend this place to others interested in Chinese teas.

Came here for a tea tasting session on a Sunday afternoon with Matt and had an absolute blast! Thanks for guiding us through the wild, wonderful and tasty rabbithole that is oolong and puer tea, we're already thinking about what to try next. Matt was knowledgeable, approachable, funny and friendly, and we loved hearing his stories about tea. We had so much fun, we lost track of the time! The store is well designed and all the teas are beautifully packaged. Already looking forward for our next visit, definitely coming back to buy more.

Everything about this experience was awesome. Great set up and variety of tea. Was really nice sitting back drinking tea and sharing quality conversation with Matt.
You can really see how much time and effort has gone into the whole place and most importantly their tea selection. Enjoyed a smooth white, 2 aged oolongs and red. The oolongs and red really hit beyond expectations! Such a pleasant surprise to try these new fusions. Thanks so much for the great time and beautiful tea!

I had a very enjoyable experience at Tea Angle degustating variety of teas from Green, Oolong to Black.
What I enjoyed the most was getting to know the owners. I felt a real connection chatting with Dawn and getting to know her personally and why she does what she does.
After just one session I now feel like I want to drink my tea mindfully and with much appreciation and that it can be an activity on its own for when I have time to sit down and be in the moment.

We had an extremely lovely experience with Matt! Over a couple hours, Matt guided us through 3 teas (our choice: Phoenix Honey Orchid, Smokey Lapsang, Ripe Pu’er) and answered our many questions. The new space is beautiful and mindfully drinking the multiple infusions of the teas was very grounding. I would recommend this tea tasting to everyone! Thanks again Matt!

Matt took good care of us, and we had some great conversations. We were already planning our next session the second we got back in the car. I highly recommend Tea Angle. Best to book if you're looking for a tasting.

I was really impressed by Matt’s knowledge and his passion for Chinese tea. It was a lovely experience, he was very giving of his knowledge and time, and we enjoyed the variety of teas on offer. Will do it again.

A lot of thought has gone into the setup of this family-run business, and it shows. I cannot recommend the guided tea tasting enough: a perfect blend of wholesome, delicious and informative. Thank you Matt we had a lovely time and will be back soon!

If you're in the area or even if you're not, this is the place to come for your loose lag tea. The product is phenomenal. Proudly sourced from reputable farms in China. And the couple that runs the store is exactly what you would dream. My first time I came in they helped me pick out the tea that would do me right. Knowing the product as thorough as of they love and breath the stuff with passion. And then when I was going to pay, the pay pass terminal ran out of batteries. So they poured me a free sample to enjoy as we had a wonderful chat over tea until the terminal had enough battery.

I love tea.

It was an amazing experience to try diverse ranges of teas with such unique tastes of Chinese tea.

It was an unbelievable experience and highly recommend every person to give Tea Angle a place to go! :)
