Rambutan Townsville

Sat upstairs on a Sunday afternoon and had a delightful lunch. Lovely breeze and a fantastic atmosphere. A glass fell off the table and the staff were quick to help clean it up without making us feel bad at all. The food was really good and also inexpensive. This will become a regular place to hang out.

From the moment you walk in the staff make you feel right at home, Joe the receptionist is so lovely and so helpful and the food is die for and the cocktails are the best I've had in Townsville and the hotel rooms are cute and cozy and have beach vibes. Now the rooftop pool is great as well and you get to choose your little cabana as well and they even bring your drinks to you in the pool area. I seriously highly recommend Rambutan if I could give it more stars i would.

The staff here go out of their way to make your stay enjoyable.
A special mention to Hannah from the roof top bar and Jo from reception for going above and beyond.
It’s nice to see customer service is still a priority to some businesses.
The rooms are very clean and beds are comfortable.
Prices for food and drink are good value.
Highly recommend.

We had our son's 21st birthday of 60 people at the rooftop bar, the functions team organised everything. Beautiful veiw and atmosphere, Dale and the Bar staff and service was outstanding, food was excellent. We would highly recommend for your next function.

I visited Rambutan on taco night a few weeks ago when there was an issue between the printers & the kitchen. Even though the bar was extremely busy and there were issues with orders - Elle kept a smile on her face and was extremely polite to us and anyone she came in contact with. In busy and stressful situations it can be easy to forget customer service so we hugely appreciate Elle and her efforts in checking in with us to make sure we got sorted.

Breakfast was served well, with plenty of choice, seating was comfortable and the friendly staff new their menu and were able to put on wonderful breakfast.
I am recommending to all my friends, to give Rambutan breakfast service a go, it was very special 😊

Excellent service from staff and very accommodating. I brought to Bert's (front desk member) attention that the air-cond was not cooling down the room and he immediately restarted the compressor. On his own accord, he periodically checked on me if the room was cold enough and he himself offered a room change thereafter. Thank you Bert and Rambutan Townsville. I will be back!

It was great, exactly what I needed. Clean room. Friendly staff. Good food for a good price in the top floor restaurant! Breakfast isn’t recommended. But that’s only my opinion :)

We had a wonderful time at Rambutan! We stayed at the Villa 2 with the family. Rooms are clean, beds are comfy, food was great! Love the Friday Oysters! Rooftop was a plus and staff was very very friendly. Thank yoy, Rambutan!

All staff were very friendly and very welcoming. We highly recommend the Roof top bar on a Friday with $1.50 oysters very tasty and don't surpass the Chilli Prawn Woodfire Pizza absolutely delicious! A big shout out to your stand out employee Dale and Katy who went above and beyond to keep us well feed and hydrated, true assets to your business. Thanks again we will be back next month 😍

This place has a very charming vibe to it, all rooms are perfectly located arround the pool and the food is delicious. The staff were super helpful and went over and beyond to help me. Kudos to Bert who made all efforts to make my stay very enjoyable.

i’ve visited this place for my time in townsvile and its amazing Guadalupe at reception was amazing with her beautiful smile and fantastic customer service gave me good advice where to go in townsvile. i went to the bar where i met dale a young irish lad who was simply amazing smiling all the time gave great customer service and pours a great pint i was very very impressed and working in hospitality 10 years i was blown away amazing these 2 and the rest of the staff are a credit to them selfs and the hotel

We had a very enjoyable stay. Hotel is close to everything we needed,and easily accessible from any side of Townsville.
We had a few meals there, and all were without fault (and we're fussy foodies)
All in all, we'll be back, without hesitation 👍

Amazing 👏 I went in here today with my kids as a lost headless chook and the lady had so much kindness and went above and beyond to help us find where we were looking for thank you so much I really appreciate it and we ended up finding the place in time and my kids were able to go on their Magnetic Island trip with their aunty 😊 Rambutan looks lovely as well xx

2nd time staying at Rambutan and it did not disappoint. The staff are outstanding especially the wonderful Talor at reception. She went above and beyond. I would recommend staying here to others.

The staff are friendly and helpful. Have a pool and the bar available right next door for reasonably priced drinks and food is great. The wood fired pizza and $15 steaks on Monday we're excellent. Also thank you to the receptionist Jo who was very helpful, knowledgeable and kind.

This hotel went above my expectations! From the photos it looked very nice but I didn't realise it had a rooftop bar and restaurant. The room were just as the photos and description, the pool was amazing to relax after a day of walking and very comfortable with chairs and cushions, and the bar and restaurant was an excellent addition. We really enjoyed the dinner specials at really affordable prices and very generous portions! Drink prices were great too, and they even give you a voucher if you consume a main meal at the restaurant :) All staff from reception to the bar were super friendly and attentive, and they really made us feel very comfortable. You can stay at the hotel after check out and use the facilities until you leave, which we really appreciated as our flight was not until 8 pm. Rooms and common areas were super clean, bed was comfy and shower was good. Rooftop had a nice view of the river and main street. Location was good for us as we arrived from the ferry and was a short walk, but it can feel a bit far from the main bits of the Strand if you don't have a car.
The only thing I didn't fully enjoy is that the room feels a bit small and since the windows look to the hallway, you need to have the blinds closed if you want to turn the lights on. The bathroom configuration was a bit odd as well with the shower and toilet are completely enclosed. I'd have liked to have a little sofa or something were to sit with a table (that wasn't a desk/chair). However this was a minor detail for us as we didn't spend much time in the room.

All in all I'd definitely recommend!

Rambuton in Townsville was a great place to stay very clean and in the heart of the city. At the last level of the hotel there's a very nice restaurant with amazing views and overlooking the pool. Food was nice and staff were very friendly. Downstairs on the ground level there's a cafe and a bar to enjoy a delicious drink and a nice bite while playing with friends blliarard.
