Houdinis Cafe e Cucina

Great Italian restaurant located in Diggers Rest. We started with the mussels and oysters kilpatrick as our entree and had a pizza and the fish special of the day as our main. They have an extensive wine list that is quite impressive as well. The service is very good and all staff are very friendly and accommodating. There were two of us in our party, but they accommodate for families and groups of all sizes as well.

Frank squeezed us in for a big family dinner last minute on a busy night but the service was exceptional! Great service and beautifully presented, delicious meals. Best Scallopini I’ve ever had!! We will definitely be back!

My absolute favourite restaurant to go to time and time again. The food is so delicious and consistently good, and Frank and the staff are so lovely. My best friend is coeliac and was amazed at how good the gluten free pizza was. Cannot beat real authentic Italian food and good wine!

Wow, I'm blown away. The selection to choose from was extensive. The pasta is home-made. I enjoyed my meal - rigatoni which I couldn't get enough of. Our table ordered risotto and garlic prawns 5🌟.

Had a great lunch today. Delicious Italian style food. Yummy garlic cheese pizza, children's ham pizza and they grilled chicken for my kid., pork ravioli was amazing, trout fish with divine creamy sauce, oyster Kirkpatrick, just right amount of bacon and worcestershire sauce.
Dessert tiramisu, perfectly made mocha cheese cake (specials). Always fresh and tasty here. I'm a repeat customer.

Fantastic food and extremely friendly staff, this is the place to go if you want yummy food and a full tummy 👏

An authentic Italian restaurant in the heart of Diggers Rest. Lovely, attentive staff with a rich knowledge of Italian cuisine and heritage. The food is incredible and reasonably priced. Depending on the night, the atmosphere can be quite lively or quiet.

Great restaurant, a much lived destination, packed on a Tuesday evening says it all. Would like to see pan fried meals such as veal and chicken masala on the menu.

Proper old school Italian Cucina in the West everything was absolutely delicious and cooked with heart, all ingredients where so fresh we wanted to try everything on the menu definitely made our day knowing people still cook with passion. Thanks for the lovely service Jason

Houdinis is a great restaurant to go and have a meal. We all had a fantastic meal, and the service was excellent. Love the place for its great atmosphere and the staff are there to serve you. Go and check Houdinis out for yourself. You will not be disappointed.

5 stars all round. Our second visit to houdinis, our first one being this time last year. Both times the service has been great, atmosphere is relaxing and amazing food and drinks. Staff are always super helpful and polite. Best food in sunbury and better then alot of the cbd venues I've been to. Highly reccomend and will be back for sure

Used to be a regular when we lived in Digger Rest and in the years since we moved away a lot has changed in the world but thankfully Frank is not one of them. Food was exceptional just as i remembered it and the service just as good.

Still amazes me that such a high quality Italian restaurant found its way to our sleepy suburb of Diggers Rest but it is a must visit no matter where you are from if you love good Italian. I might be 3000km away in North Queensland now but I will be back again soon.

Now I did not expect this great quality at Diggers. I had prejudged and happy to say totally wrong. The food is definitely Italian and reasonably priced. Excellent tasting food and good portions. Owner hands on and good young crew of waiters taking orders and delivering food, followed up on drinks and removing used plates quickly. We had and excellent meal and food was delivered quickly and in order. Was nice to eat a quality meal prepared and delivered professionally. Well done. Will definitely revisit.

I wasn't sure what to expect but was very pleasantly surprised. Fantastic atmosphere, amazing staff, very friendly and the food was amazing! A little hidden gem. Highly recommend this place, I know we will be returning. (Only got 1 photo of food but presentation and taste of all dishes was spot on.)

Heard so much about this place and finally got time to visit. Everything was on point, they were busy but the service, the wait time for our food, the options of food and wine and the food specials. And yes it isnt for the "budgeting" like myself (and Im a tightazz!) BUT everything really was worth every cent. You can tell they use great quality products and its cooked with love. The seafood linguine is the best I have ever had! so much seafood, the flavour - it was mouth watering. Thank you to Frankie and the staff there, we will be back, again and again! (actually craving it again lol)
