Beechworth Cascades

The Cascades of Spring Creek just off Gorge Rd are one for the buck list!

Although Gorge Rd is closed for vehicles as the bridge is in great need of repairs, it doesn't mean you have to miss out on this truly amazing area of Beechworth...

This absolutely beautiful area can easily be found with a short drive down Camp St from the CBD of town to the Powder Magazine Compound & this is where the fun begins!

At the Powder Magazine compound, you can find a carpark area at this point, and after checking out the Powder Magazine compound, head up the hill about 50mts and take the tar road to the left or for a more adventurous walk keep heading straight along to dirt walking trail...

The walk itself down Gorge Rd will take around 20 minutes taken in the scenery or take the dirt track that is a lot hard to manage. This dirt track is not for everyone as it's a little tricky in some spot!

If you decide to adventure down, don't forget to take your swimwear as it is beautiful there to float around in one of the small pools of Spring Creek Cascades you truly won't be disappointed.

Don't forget your camera!

Absolutely beautiful and definitely worth a look. Only a short walk from the Beechworth Power Magazine so worth parking there and visiting both sites.

Beautiful granite rock feature along the road too!

Great little waterfall at the edge of Beechworth. It's a couple kms of tourist track that takes you for a little drive through the lower part but you end up at a historic bridge before heading back into town.

Beautiful scenery and wildlife! A must stop if you're going through Beechworth, can drive or walk through this area and both options give amazing views. A few spots where you can park on the one way road to get up close to the Cascades but parking is limited

A scenic cascading streams of water falling into small pool of water, great for walks and long exposure photography.

Last time I was here was in 1980, so good to see some things don't change.

A stunning walk with some incredible views too. Definitely worth a visit, just be aware that parking here may be a little tough on sunny weekends when others will have the same great idea to pay this place a visit.

A must see there are cascades above and below the bridge. Some are easy to get too and some are quite difficult to get too
