MC Modern Nails

I just wanted to give this review because I read the others and they were critical and negative.
My nail tech was professional, lovely. I went with my friend and we are 110% happy with the work. I read the reviews and advised my friend NOT to go to this place but we took a chance and it paid off. Please don't let the negative reviews steer you away. I've seen MANY people in this place and I guess people are quick to complain.. but not to praise.

Went to 2 places and they did a better job than both. Perfectly smooth and nice shape. Looks like men go there too. Gets busy. They do everything.

I’m happy on the service I’ve got. The lady who prep my nails before polished was nice and friendly even though she’s not the one who painted my nails. Over all good experience. I just wished I went to MC Modern Salon and done my pedicure instead of going to the other salon nearby Aldi store which is worst pedicure experienced and just rip me off for a poor quality and service.

I was happy with how the gel polish was painted - a beautiful colour, except for the fact that the nail tech cut my skin with the nail file, she was super rough. 24hrs later the polish was already cracking and within 3 days, the polish was peeling off my nails.
I went to a wedding and work a desk job, not much I would’ve done to cause it to crack and peel. Pretty disappointed!

Got my fresh set of nails, I was juggled between 2 customers as they were busy. Next I was told $75 which I was fine then the add in came thick and fast extra for length and shape and so forth walked out costing $95

Felt ripped off for sure

THE WORST CUSTOMER SERVICE EVER!
As someone else has said in this review section, I would give 0 starts if I could. I have been coming to this salon, every 3 weeks for 2 years. Usually the staff are (a little rough with your hands) but fine. Today I had THE WORST refill of my life. The nail artist was extremely rough and aggressive, when I showed her an image of what I wanted she said no, so I offered a much easier option which was just one plain colour, chrome - and we took that option. She very obviously didn’t know what she was doing and when I then again offered to do something different she refused. The job was done so poorly! Even the colour has not been painted on properly and there are gaps everywhere! She complained the entire time as well! When I said I didn’t want to pay the $95 she had quoted me for such a poor job. The boss came and refused to discount the price. He said pay full price or he re does it but i had to go to work and i leave for a holiday tomorrow. He refused to let me leave without paying full price. For the sake of discounting $20 for a long term customer the whole ordeal was ridiculous. The worst customer service I have ever experienced.

I went in for a fullset of acrylic after doing my own SNS for over 6 months. I was giving my nails a rest to recover and grow out the thin nails from previous nail salons.
They were wanting to pick the SNS off instead of soaking them so i said no, can you soak them. She didnt even soak / remove the SNS product before prepping for acrylic. I said will this not make the acrylic lift she said no but proceeded to remove with the drill.
My natural nails are honestly thinner then paper. i can push down on the natural nail close to the nail bed and it will push in.
I had my nails done yesterday before 5pm and they are so sore today at 7am... will never return there
To add they are rude, rough and just dont listen.

I wish I had read the reviews before throwing so much money out of the window... 😭 All of the mentioned bad experiences happened to me as well...and I am now with much less money and much disliked nails... Won't come back again..

$60 for refill and she couldn't even do French tips 🤦🏽‍♀ taking the piss mate, def a MONEY HUNGRY salon, the customer service is a joke btw. Wouldn't recommend! TAKE YOUR MONEY ELSE WERE AND DON'T GO HERE!

Horrible job. My nails were poorly filed. I was sent away with wet polish - the lady didnt use any fan to dry them. More than an hr on, the polish was still wet and wrinkles started forming. Waste of money. The service can also benefit from good communication skills. Not going back to this place.

My cuticles were overcut on my left big toe and now there's an infection.
I don't these ladies know much about nail & cuticle health.
I wanted to try these guys out to give them a chance since they had such a low rating. But here we are.

Very poor staff, very very very bad customer service and the nail service that they provide is unbelievable, literally I can’t beieve how bad nails a person a can do. I have to n number of places to get the nails done, but this one oh my god. Did so bad nails that they started breaking the day it was done. All waste of money and when I went back after one day to ask to fix them, they say they won’t do it. Literally the worst of worst place ever in my life. So unprofessional behaviour.

I'd give zero stars if I could. The customer service is terrible and my shellac manicure didn't even last 2 weeks before it started peeling off. When I returned, I spoke with the owner, to be met with hostility. He wouldn't even take off the remaining polish unless I paid $20 and told me it wasn't his problem and that's it's the way it is. I will not be returning and I suggest you take your money elsewhere.

AVOID AT ALL COSTS!
Appalled at the service here. My thumb was cut, (blood was drawn) and completely bruised. Refer to the pic provided.When I addressed the Manager, he yelled over the top of me in attempt to justify the blood and told me to go see a Doctor. Before I was cut, I asked the tech twice to focus on my nails as she was continuously talking, distracted.
Disgusting, careless service. I will be laying a complaint to the Belmont Forum.

I went in to get a new set of SNS and it took close to 2 hours for something that never usually take more than an hour, the lady doing my nails kept taking phone calls whilst doing my nails and kept walking away, I made it clear that I wasn’t entirely happy with how my nails looked, there were some longer than others and although I only had one extension put on my nail I was charged $70, she didn’t seem to care and I left after almost 2 hours later with nails I wasn’t happy with 😥 won’t be going here again

The job was very poorly done. The lady is obviously not used to doing proper shellac or French tip. The work looks shabby. This was my second visit and I regret going there. I will not recommend anyone, wastage of money and time.

Went to get shellac removed, manicure and new shellac put in.
The cuticle cutting could have been much better done, and I asked her to fix what wasn’t looking right, although she cut it too much of some areas and not enough of cuticles.
She filed my nails so much with the electric device that it became paper thin. I decided it was too risky to get them painted as result for either, the nail texture and the ability of the technician. I left them unpainted. They provide no buffer for shine on natural nails.
It felt rough.
Im not returning.

I've been there twice thinking I'll give them a second chance. Never again. Poor customer service and lacking of skills. Had to re file my nails once home for heaven's sake!?!

This salon is terrible. Rude staff, bad quality products and terrible skills. They messed up my nails but took so long to fix (after attempting 3 times, and only reapplying colour to the affected ones so they didn’t match the others) that I accepted the level to which they tried to fix it because I was running late at that point. They weren’t even or glossy due to their brush strokes not going to the end of my nails. When a nail broke less than a week later they refused to fix it and said I had caused the hold up because I came without enough time for the service. Plus they only guarantee their work for 3 days, even though good gel and shellac manicures usually last a month no trouble. After that they charge you $10 to fix one nail and are incredibly rude about it. They also own My Nail Care and Spa and swap their technicians across both salons in Belmont Forum so don’t go there either.
