My experience with Dr Begg is excellent. In 2016 I returned to Adelaide from being diagnosed as an adult with Adhd and Dyspraxia abroad.

Dr Begg is an excellent listener who has an excellent “doctor’s bedside manner” which put me instantly at ease.

Mental illness, psychiatric conditions or educational subnormalities are very very difficult to deal with. There are rarely quick fixes so great motivation and personal courage are required to build coping skills.

In Dr Begg I felt as if he was genuine friend and not a scary psychiatrist. Your condition is the problem and almost definitely not Dr Begg.

Kind & caring Soul

In my opinion, Dr Begg is the kind of person who should never be allowed to go into healthcare. He has given up any sense of ethics or trying to help the community in exchange for money from insurance companies. His plesent caring demeanour turned out to be very misleading.
I was sent to see him after putting in a workcover claim for a psychological injury. I was in a state of extreme anxiety at the time, couldn't think straignt, and Dr Begg took advantage of that.
He wouldn't let me tell him what happened from my perspective, he kept steering the conversation, cutting me off while I was trying to speak and focussing on accusations my employer had made against me. I felt like I was talking to a prosecutor, no interest in finding out what happened, only trying to blame me and paint me in the most negative light possible.
His report was full of lies where he had claimed I said things I never said - things I don't believe at all. He had also made claims with no factual or evidence base whatsoever, such as that I'm able to return to work now - a judgement he made after a half hour discussion where he steered the conversation the whole time.
He just does whatever the insurance company wants, and has no regard for the harm or suffering that he causes when the insurance company withdrawls all the support a person needs to recover. Dr Begg's report literally delayed my return to work because without the medical expenses being paid for by the insurance company and no income I couldn't see a psychologist, and fighting the insurance company caused me even more anxiety.
I hope and prey that one day he's in a vulnerable situation and a medical professional treats him with the same disdain he treated me with. When that moment comes, I hope he has the presence of mind to realise that he deserves it.
