Tyringham Store Fuel Bottleshop

From interstateand called to ask about local activities in the area, and the lady that runs the place was so friendly and helpful I was just blown away.

I am a local so of course I am going to give them 5 stars.the shop has been in the same family for 2 to 3 generations.
Great picnic area and rest area across the fuel store.
It has all your basic needs and more.

Tyringham store and garage BP is a great shop,local and community and traveller friendly, Alice's that run the shop is a very caring person!! Always helping the regulars out!!! Can never tell if it’s open or closed. Nor actually been inside, kinda has a the hills have eyes feel about it so I wouldn’t be asking for directions but will give 4 stars out of sheer commitment

It's a long way between stops, regardless if you're coming from Dorrigo, Armidale or Grafton. Tyringham store is perfectly positioned for a refuel, both of your car, and of your stomach!

As a local, the store stocks a surprising range, which has saved countless trips into town for the essentials (and a couple of indulgences too) - and the fabulous staff are all too willing helping source something specific if it's do-able.

If you're travelling, it's got a little bus-station with a table and some seating, but most notably there aren't toilet facilities, and with your nearest loo stops being Ebor, Bostobrick or Nymboida (to my knowledge), be prepared!

They didn't have Hennessy

No toilets, hardly any fuel choices, no rubbish bins...a store for locals and desperadoes I think.

Maybe I just got a bad day?
Travelled 800km in the last 3 days, almost at my destination, decided to skip Ebor and continue to Tyringham and crossed my fingers they had an ice block (hot day, tired) pulled up, was seen by the cashier, as she was at the door with a local lady and seemed to be happy and having a nice chat, I entered the store, greeted by a wildly barking dachshund, that's ok, I like dogs, but did think it weird that it wasn't told to stop, as it's not very welcoming to a customer. Chose my ice block, went to counter, cashier on her phone, didn't even look up, I thought, 'count to ten' ..........
Did that, put ice block back, took money off counter, cashier said ' sorry, got scam on my phone'
I said, 'no worries, getting customers through the doors is the hardest part, but that's just rude'.
Continued on my merry way, still hot, still tired, and quite a bit crabby! I wouldn't waste my time, energy and money stopping there again, but like I said, maybe I just got a bad day? Don't like to discourage people from utilising a small business, but I expect some level of service and a smile, or gesture of welcome, not to be ignored for a phone message that could be sorted after being served.
