These guys here are great. They happily give great advice and will spend the time to explain the products that you are after and if you have any paint questions they are happy to give tips and best application. I will be back when I need more paint! Cheers!

Couple of true bloody old Aussies run it very knowledgeable and love a good yarn.... one of the few old school hardware shops left.

I can’t recommend this place highly enough. I had a tiny little scratch (barely visible but it annoyed me) on my coffee machine and took in a panel (no knowledge of code or anything). They scanned it, made me a spray can and even showed me how to do it. I painted it right there in the shop. The paint is a PERFECT match so I’m over the moon and saved a fortune too. The guys were really friendly and extremely good at what they do.
Don’t be afraid to go there if you aren’t a spray painter. They are very helpful. The price for the quality is very fair.
The thing that blew me away most was the enormous stock they have of tools for sale. It puts the big name tool shops to shame. You really need to go there and have a look around to believe the range and stock they have. It’s incredible.

I have been going to this spray shop for over 10 years , it's a 45 min drive for me and although there are closer stores nearby ,

they just are not as well stocked or knowledgeable than Colin & Frank. You can write on a match head what they don't know about automotive spray painting or spray equipment.

Have used the company for a while now after being referred to them. Colin, Frank & Colin's partner Amanda are the face & brains of this place, there is not much that Colin does not know about the automotive painting industry. He has owned & operated his own panel paint shop before moving into this retail outlet. There is every thing in the place that would take pages to list, but if you ask I sure they will 👉 you in the right direction. Assisted with matching paint for the seats of my 1979 Mercedes 280 Coupe. Brilliant, professional service and pricing very acceptable ~ I’ll certainly recommend these services to my many classic cars friends.

First time i have been to this Aladdin's cave of unbelievable stuff. Great Friendly staff, great prices. I could have spent all day in there and still wouldn't have seen half of it. I'll be telling everyone I know. I'll be back in next week.

Needed some specific paint today, and wow, I’m glad that I went back to Automotive Paint, tools and equipment again. Friendly bunch, great selection and the paint I was advised, simply fantastic. Way better than other brands I’ve used before. Top.

I initially wrote a bad review, but have since been in a number of times, and the staff have been great. I actually forgot that I wrote it, and would like to apologise to the staff for my last negative review. I have been in maybe 4 or 5 times since and the staff have just been so helpful. The range of tools that they have is unbelievable. If you need it, chances is they have it. Keep up the good work guys.

The Thirteenth review and it is not an unlucky one. I have been going here for more years than I can remember and for a good reason. Good service, huge range of so many things, no pressure to buy, very knowledgeable staff and best prices around on paints and consumables. Col, Kym and Frank will help you out and give you the time necessary for info on your precious project. Not only that but I think that if you take down your 4litre empty can from a previous purchase of thinners, solvent, reducer, acetone or whatever, they will take $2 off the price, as it saves them supplying a new can and also reduces wastage. How many businesses will do that for you? [Col, correct me if this is not being done anymore]

Awesome place to get some touch up paint mixed up and the guys are very helpful with helping you find the right paint and match it with what you need. Even if you don't know what your paint code is, the guys know what they're doing and will definitely sort you out.

This place has everything you could need. It is like a rabbit warren packed with tools. The blokes are super helpful and friendly. The only criticism I would have would be the pricing on some of the old stock is a bit high, however if you see the place a stock take would be a 6 month exercise! Going back today haha

Went there for the first time to do a colour matching paint for my car. Was very impressed with the HUGE range of products that they have. Many specialist hardware tools not found in Supercheap or Bunnings, etc. Staff were friendly too.

I have use these guys twice and found their matching of paint excellent. My latest way metalic silver was spot on.

First time customer today, and it won’t be the last time!

Went here looking to get a standard spray can made up of a colour that didn't come up in anyone else's paint matching system. It was for 'touch up' paint for plastic panels on a 2018 Yamaha bike. I got the proper paint code, name and number from Yamaha direct but it still didn't help. These guys here 'scanned' a (blue metallic) panel I took there and came up with something that they said was 'mighty close'. Took the can home, prepared, rubbed back and masked off the area I was going to paint and the result? SPOT ON. Blended well and you wouldn't know difference between original paintwork and my minor spray job. These guys know their stuff. Happy with result. Well done to these peoples down on Gibb Street.
