Little River Fossicking Reserve

Great place. Definitely be back although slipped on clay and broke metal detector. And fell in a hole in the river and f**ked my phone. Met someone who found a 5.7k sapphire. Pros and cons. Lol. Great fun for family.

Great spot for a day trip or a weekend camp. Toilets but no tap water.

Need 4x4 to get in. Track slippery and muddy when wet. Beautiful place though. Dont get much on the fossicking front.

No access via road if there has been any rain or wet in any way, but was accessible by parking on side of road and walking in

For those wishing to do some fossicking for gold and gemstone then this is a nice location to spend a day. There are toilets but there condition is a little sad to say the least thanks to vandalism. The creek may be dry during the summer months so I recommend spring or autumn if planning a trip here to chase gold or gem. Many diggings on the side of the hill where people have gotten down to the older layer of alluvial's. Very hard digging so be prepared for hard work with good digging tools.

Tranquil flowing stream and beautiful surrounds which feels like you're miles from anyone! Gems and even a few specks of Gold in our pan. Wish I had more time there!
