We thoroughly enjoyed our night from start to finish. You made our night feel so special and is something we will remember for the years to come. Your team's hospitality was exceptional and accommodating. The food was excellent on the night, the guests and ourselves cannot fault the meals you served us. We both particularly liked the slow cooked lamb and gnocchi, this was delicious.

Jaya, thank you for being every step of the way with us, from initial meetings to planning the event sheet and ensuring we had everything we needed for the night to run smoothly for our wedding. Eloise did an excellent job and executing the night and working with our various vendors to make the night run smooth - hats off to her!

We got married at Walkabout Creek on Friday 3rd November 2023 and it was the most magical day! Jaya was always prompt to answer any questions during the planning process, and Elouise was extremely helpful in terms of running our wedding on the day. We did make the switch to our wet weather option on the deck a few hours before our ceremony (Jaya’s recommendation), and we are so glad that we did, as it started to rain as soon as I walked down the aisle. The food was great (we opted for cocktail style), with the show stopper definitely being the incredible grazing table. We used a fair few vendors from the preferred supplier list also; and we are so glad we did - everyone involved in our wedding was incredible. The day felt like it went so fast however we had the most incredible time, my husband and I couldn’t recommend Walkabout creek enough. Our wedding day was so relaxed, fun and most of all stress free; which is exactly what we wanted. Thank you!

Hi, i just wanted to express my gratitude for a magnificent venue and reception. I am a celebrant, who had their first visit to Walk About Creek recently to officiate a wedding, and i have to say that i was extremely impressed. The venue wedding decor was set to perfection and the staff were polite, welcoming and attentive.

Keep up the great work! I hope to visit again soon with more weddings.

My husband and I were married here in July this year and it was the most special and memorable day.

The venue was absolutely beautiful - a lovely place to have a wedding in nature. Jaya and all of the staff at Walkabout Creek both preparing for the wedding and on the day were extremely friendly and helpful - our every need was cared for and we were even able to set up the day before the wedding.

We would both absolutely recommend getting married here if you have the chance. It's truly a once in a lifetime experience (although we would definitely do the day again if we could, it goes fast!)

Walkabout Creek hosted my anniversary brunch party in their Banksia Room. Everything was perfect. The room set up and facilities were great. The timing of everything flowed so well, the service of food, cutting the cake, and clearing of tables. The team were so fantastic and helpful. Our guests were delighted.

My husband and I had our wedding reception here and it went like a dream! Jaya was super helpful through every step of planning and would always get back to me quickly. The food was delicious. Before the reception, our photographer was able to capture beautiful photos of us around the area as well. I would only add that there can be other weddings at the same time, so make sure any guests arriving early know where to go.

This place is one of a kind. We got married back in July and choosing Walkabout Creek was the best decision we made. The day ran smoothly. The events coordinator, Jaya, was always willing to do whatever necessary to make it our own and in our case, we went with simple and the team made that happen. Everything was there, we didn’t need to do much of our own DIY (but the option was there if we wanted to). The food was one of the highlights, some of the most delicious wedding food I’ve ever had and all our guests said the same. Just overall was one of the best days. Beautiful grounds for photos as well.

Walkabout creek was exactly what we wanted when booking a wedding venue. Nothing was too much or too little and we had so much flexibility when it came to styling, food, and beverage packages, which we found refreshing when comparing it to other venues. We had so many options for ceremony locations on the grounds and choosing the lawn allowed us a stunning ceremony and cocktail hour set amongst the nature before moving up to the incredible deck. The deck itself was the perfect location whilst being covered and protected and providing the outdoor feel we were after. Set against a gorgeous backdrop, looking out over the trees and creek and above the animal sanctuary. Allowing our guest to spot a wombat and emu. Walkabout Creek was affordable, close to Brisbane, and offered everything we were after.

My partner and I got married at Walkabout Creek in 2022. The wedding co-ordinator there looked after us so well and made the planning experience a pleasure. We had an absolutely brilliant day. Everything looked beautiful and ran so smoothly. Even the kids had a good time!

The food is absolutely amazing, really top noch, the chips where perfect, crispy on the outside but fluffy on the inside and not the least bit oily. Milkshake was fantastic and so was the gourmet pizzas. All the other food at our table looked and tasted amazing too. Ontop of all that it's a really nice location.

There was a small delay, the eftpos wasn't working properly and there was a small issue with one of the meals but they more than compensated. Super friendly staff really made the experience amazing especially Maggie who went above and beyond, an absolutely incredible server, infact I'd say the best service I've ever seen, the service is the reason that I'm giving five stars, I have never given a five star rating for a Cafe or restaurant before! It wouldn't be five stars if it were for the service!

Our daughters wedding was just a perfect day. Walkabout creek is an amazing place. The wedding plans were made so easy by Jaya Crothers and her team.

The Cafe here is fantastic, with a big breezy balcony to sit and enjoy some tasty, well priced food and beverages. Will be returning again.

We had our wedding here last month, the location is absolutely beautiful and the food was extremely tasty.

We cannot thank Jaya enough for all she did for us, she made the day go so much smoother.

They've got an indoor wildlife display of various Australian animals. Takes about 5-10 minutes to check it out. There's a cafe which looks good but I didn't visit. Check other reviews for the Cafe specifically.

Walkabout Creek was our dream wedding destination, from the very beginning meeting Jaya she was fantastic answering all our question and concerns especially around the beginning of covid (we were married on our 3rd date change). Food was incredible, the staff on the night were lovely to all our guests and very accommodating. 6 months later and our guests are still raving about the best wedding they have ever been to! A big thanks to everyone involved in our experience.

BEAUTIFULLY STYLED, AMAZING CATERING AND DREAM LOCATION. I had the most beautiful elegant birthday thank you. It was a complete surprise to see the level of attention to decorations and the staff, were all very accommodating, friendly and professional. It was just so beautiful and I am very grateful I chose to celebrate my birthday at the fern tree room. What a surprise with the sweet signage and beautiful balloons too, thank you. Your team clearly love making people feel special, thank you! Easy for guests to enjoy and view overlooking tree-kangaroos makes it a once-in-a-lifetime and unique space for nature lovers too.

You also have good view of mountain and sanctuary on the balcony.

Wonderful! we had our wedding here in sept 23 and it was the best day. We chose the Deck Ceremony location & Ferntree Reception Room, both were absolutely gorgeous. The staff at walkabout creek from the event coordinator to our function manager & bar/wait staff were all fantastic and really looked after us on the night. We received so many compliments on the food from our guests. It looked and tasted beautiful.
The staff were incredibly helpful in the lead up and on the day. They set up so much for us without hesitation and really helped us enjoy the day and not stress. They were also very flexible and helped us accommodate any changes that came our way.
Highly recommend.
