Pro Bike Fit

After 5 years of active cycling I finally decided to get a professional bike fit. As a tall, large built person with muscular and skeletal issues from a previous car accident I've always struggled with aches and pains especially when cycling. After my first email to Gary to organize a time and ran through some of my concerns and queries, he was more than happy to help me on my merry way. After spending several hours with Gary I left with a bike that was setup correctly, he gave me the confidence and advice required to transition from flats over to clipless which he installed and adjusted to my measurements without any concern. Throughout the whole process Gary was extremely informative about his knowledge in the industry, about biomechanics and even about rehabilitation which was catered to my needs.

Post bike fit, I am close to being pain-free (still getting used to the new position), free of numbness, producing more power with less effort and have walked away with a metric tonne of beneficial information around how my body works, and ample information around pre/ post ride stretching and muscle conditioning. I'm also extremely confident riding with clipless pedals now as falling off and flaring up previous injuries was one of my major concerns.

I cannot recommend Gary and his services enough for any cyclist. Bike fits are extremely beneficial and 10/10 worth the investment.

Gary is such a lovely, generous guy. His knowledge of bikes and human biomechanics is amazing. I had a fitting and he recommended that I needed a different seat so I had a second fitting session to trial the new seat, for ninety minutes, at no extra cost. The whole process was super fun. I couldn't recommend him highly enough.

Amazing value for money in comparison to any other bike fitters I'd previously been to. I was considering getting a new bike but now feel so much more comfortable I've decided to keep it. Seeing Gary is the best money I’ve ever spent, after seeing another fitter who made minimal changes and charged me big money for basically nothing I was pretty dissapointed, Gary is very good at his job and has taught me a lot about my body and what I need to do to get better on the bike, and also thoroughly explains everything. I doubt there would be many others around that have the same level of knowledge about the body and the way it works on the bike, he is a great bloke and certainly doesn’t rush you through your fit

I found Gary to be very knowledgeable and was only to happy to answer any questions I had. During the bike fit I never felt I was on the clock and we finished when he was happy with the setup.
I was very impressed with the comfort on the bike and how smooth my pedalling had become as a result.

Great experience and results. Gary is very knowledgeable, both in terms of bike configuration and physiology. They weren't drastic changes to my setup, but I definitely feel more comfortable on longer rides. I think the recommendations for exercises and stretches to do when off the bike are equally important.

Gary is professional and has a wealth of knowledge when it comes to getting the most out of you on your bike. Through his expertise and the equipment Gary uses at Pro Bike Fit he was able to set up both my road and triathlon positions without the need to necessarily go and buy different parts.

I just completed the IM70.3 Sunshine Coast 2018 and I just want to thank Gary for the professional bike fit. I was in an extremely comfortable position and was able to put in some good power. Came off the bike feeling strong for the run too. Definitely would recommend Pro Bike Fit! Gary is a real straight shooter who gives you practical advice, exercises/stretches and runs you through all the adjustments he makes to the bike. Noticed a huge difference on the bike after seeing Gary and his adjustments significantly decreased the pain in a niggle i had.

Hands down the best bike fitter in Brisbane, if not QLD. Not only did I get my bike and cleats expertly adjusted, but I came away with exercises to improve my strength and flexibility. Gary also fixed my rear derailleur as we got set up. Top service, top bloke, great price - HIGHLY recommended.

Really great experience with Gary. Gary gave me the opportunity to give fitting a go on his Retul system to improve some of the discomfort and pain I was receiving on long rides. I left with an understanding of my physiology and direction on what I could do improve my position on the bike. It was great to be guided through the process and learn about the fit, rather than just been thrown raw data.

Big ups, because Gary's biggest mission seems to be to get people out there riding on bikes full stop. He's a wealth of knowledge within the sport and since his visit, I've been able to diminish some of the suffering I've been enduring with my time on the bike on long rides.

My biggest regret is not knowing what a well fitted bike could feel like and wish I'd gone to Gary before, not after my bike purchase. Would not hesitate to recommend him in the slightest.

Can't recommend Gary enough, he really knows his stuff. Not only did he improve my bike fit, but gave me practical stretches and exercises to combat imbalances and inefficiencies in my body. I have gone from being in the hurt locker completing a 40km bike ride, to comfortably going for 80km bike rides!

I've been getting annual fittings with Gary now for a few years. He helped me finally get my set up right after years of "good enough" shop fittings. These good enough fittings became detrimental when racing a season of xc and road events a few years back. He went far and beyond any one else I had seen during my initial fitting, not only setting my riding position , but delving into an extensive physio based explanation of where my weaknesses lay, how that correlated to the fitting and that it would change over time as I sorted my self out and helped me build a stretching programme to suit my racing. Its hard to get that service any where else knowing the information is 100% correct. A quick chat with Gary about something as basic as electrolytes will reveal just how long hes been doing this stuff and that his knowledge dates a long way back before the internet gave a lot of "pros" an opinion. I not only recommend using Gary, I promote his business. The service is second to none. The depth of knowledge is second to none. The location and set up is great and most importantly for me the results shine. 6 stars.
