H&R Block Tax Accountants - Mitchelton

I recently visited this accounting service (Mitchelton Branch) and received exceptional service from Tiffany. I highly recommend H&R and I will be returning next year

I did my tax return with Tiffany at Brookside yesterday and she provided me with excellent service. She was able to understand my tax situation quickly, worked through my various business expenses and knew exactly what deductions were applicable to my situation. I highly recommend Tiffany and will be returning for her service next year.

The staff here are great and really easy to deal with. Makes doing my tax really easy and quick...

Had an appointment and travelled half an hour to the office to be told that they were fully booked and didn’t have time to squeeze me in. Very poor service, definitely wouldn’t trust them to do my taxes!

I paid for a face to face appointment - this ran massively late. They then held onto my documents for over two weeks before saying there was something I forgot to sign. I signed and returned it also querying why I was charged more than family and friends in a H&R block down the road; a week later they didn't answer my questions and instead, sent me the same form again asking me to sign, AGAIN. Over three weeks later they have finally submitted my tax return - who knows. When all you want from a tax agent is a speedy and efficient service, this definitely was not it. They were disorganised, on reflection I feel overcharged, poor communicators and did not deliver the service expected.

I booked an appointment for 4pm and arrived on time to a quiet office attended by a late middle aged man. I stood at the entrance for what felt like minutes while this man stared at me with a half perturbed/ half confused look on his face (It was probably 15 seconds TBH) after this time I said "Hello?" and he replied "YES?" abruptly. I told him I was here for a 4 o'clock appointment and he said No I wasn't. I assured him I had a booking, he replied well I can't see you today as I'm backing up the computers (or something to that effect). He offered no apologies or further explanations then there was awkward silence. I said I'm leaving and won't be returning and he offered no reply, he just stared.

I contacted head office and was called back the next working day with an apology and nothing else, even after explaining to them that I had taken annual leave to attend the appointment.

Overall a very awkward, time wasting, negative experience. Would not recommend.

Just done tax online after 3 years because prior to that got my tax done at this office and was told will be receiving $4700,instead got a bill for $20000,initially the account bill was $400 to lodge which I refused to pay,after completing this year's tax the ato took almost $1400 of my return to pay these Muppets,a lot of interest and big gain for stupidity,avoid like the plague

Worst customer service I've ever experienced.
