Wonderful place to buy Abalones when you are in Hobart. Mark was very welcoming so did Jay and Joyce there. Plenty of options here: cooked, canned, dried, live, frozen. We bought 2 bags of the frozen green lip and ate a cooked one (Joyce cut it in slices, prepared it in dish with soy sauce and wasabi, that was really nice.)
If you have the question of whether you can bring Abalone to your flight when you travel interstates, the short answer is yes. (you can't take live one though.)

Have visited 3 years ago and just ordered the dried abalone online. The abalone is in very high quality and reasonable price. They are great and will definitely buy again.

Great place to visit when in Tasmania. abalone here are Quite pricey . But the live cooking is interesting . They should do that more often at an affordable price. Staffs were very friendly . The tour are only for the pre-booker but you can choose walk in for their live cooking.

Nondescript entrance and a small shopfront. But good place to get a good deal for abalone!
The short tour had nothing much though, just a short video explaining that their abalone are caught from the wild and not farmed, ending with a tasting of 2 different kinds of abalone. Tour wasn't expensive anyway at $25 for up to 5 people. But didn't learn anything much about abalone.

Bought 1 kg of vacuum packed abalone online from this supplier and most disappointed when all of them of minimum sizes of around 90gms each.
I sent an complaint to them and I was pleasantly surprised to have received a reply the next working day. Next time I would go into the shop to do my own selection instead. Prompt shipping and good customer services.
